Title: The Virgin Emergence.
Post by: Lush City on June 25, 2010, 03:59:20 am
Twenty Years Ago…

“This is OIAU LVMNN live from the Gallitheria Launch Base Nine, located in the Seribrus Heartland.” As the camerawoman spoke, the scene panned out across the wet marshland. The area had only been recently cleared out, its proximity to The Thinning more than making up for its virulent habitat.  “As we come to the historic first launch of the newly founded Space Union we can finally see the test of this new international agreement.” The vid-screen then panned to a clip reel showing several pertinent scenes. “After the Universal Incursion, security issues by various terrorist organizations have caused heightened security issues the new Su-001 Battle Ogres, the first Mobile Armor produced exclusively with Space Union resources will be providing security.” Once again, the panel fed into scenes of the mountainous battle machines, lumbering there four legs and gleaming at all passer-by with the monotonous red eyes. “The primary catalyst for this launch is the Occidental Scientist NaLA’ Thoushou  whose work in developing the nomenclaturally pending Thoushoulm Ore has led to the creation of this fine ship, the first of its kind though to withstand the intense electrical storms found in the vicinity of The Anomaly.” Finally the cameraman squad up onto the  metallic beast, a large  robust spear of a ship  160 metres high and 50 in girth, and pointed like a noose, the ship looked akin to an oversized ICBM (and in a  way, it was) on its brazen hull were the words Space Union One in large Occidental and various other scripts. I’m being told now that it’s time to launch I’ll be back in the viewing tower in two point zero E minuets and now a word from our spammers---

As the large beast of a machine leered out of orbit it fired at a rapid speed towards NLSS, sling shotting around it gravity; it hurled itself at a exponentially increasing velocity heading towards the edge of the IOUY system and the Anomaly at the edge of the Outer Cloud, as it shot itself through the great distance it (relatively) slowly boosted itself piece by piece losing fractions of itself along the way, until it was but a tenth of its original size, and going a hundred times as fast. As the great object pierced through the heavens above, hurling towards the virgin aperture those below went through there duties. Waiting; prying; dancing; studying; coyly oblivious to what would befall them.
As the great probe finally gave its final climax, spilling its contents into the ecstatic orifice in the much wanted hole of the universe all went silent and those watching sincere at home…waited. And suddenly EXPLOSION an enormous burst of colors and hues beyond mortal comprehension scattered across the void of space the orgasmic display covering the probes sullen entrance into the great beyond…

GPA Astrographical/Anthropological Site- Designate: Arcadia (Five Casualty-Hours later)

As the probe found itself through the other side of The Anomaly its database pregnant  with the contents of exploration and new knowledge gleamed from inside the Anomaly's interior, it took itself upon a most miraculous site, a World, not decked in the rough red of the lifeless savannah as seen on spheres familiar, but of a lush green paradise with a river longer than most FLRXX continents winding throughout them and bridging five large lakes (or Oceans, a debate that would rage long after this event.) Giving into its programmed instincts the probe turned to the rear and launched it digital seed back into the hole, awaiting further dominance.

Space Union Orbital Logistics -Biological Intelligence Response Division.

Young RaLOooK natal was a green cadet, prone to extra-long bouts of bonding and indulgence in strong soil. He had got this job on the whim of a politician (whose offspring he had no small part in corrupting) who was close with one of the House-Lords. natal was no fool however and as he crunched the numbers and manually checked the signal being given he was shocked to find an answer. “By Sejiin! Dr. ThHolotos come quickly!” As the House-Bred leader of the division came to this Mucum-faced Yuppie he was discouraged, he had already had to take several hours of steady density training just get adjusted to life on the Sejiin-forsaken station but what he would see would enlighten them all. ‘Dear Sejiin, man! These calculations cannot be right Casualty is completely violated! The time figures are nonsense!” the young man’s repose was in turn: “And yet the chronometers on the station and in the probe are set to the same quantum decay ratio the only possible answer was if…” in unison they both spoke “Faster than light travel.”

1 FLRX Day Later- Space Union Planetary Headquarters, Equinox City

The representatives of the various members of the Space Union arrived, long before the proposed “Zoning Simplification” plan (As introduced by Represenator T’haaloophf Gön-Org) the process was long and arduous. Chancellor Tonlintine (coincidentally the head of the House Oloeis) finally spoke. “Now, it is apparent that this new world is strange and intuitive place and that there is much profit and knowledge to be gained here which is why as current Executive  Director of the Space Union,  that I am  proposing a fully fledged  multi-phased Colonization Program. The assembled delegates recoiled in shock, the Union had been formed to negotiate the use of extraplanetary resources for the common good and profit yes, but such an undertaking would seem ludicrous. “The first phase alone shall cost 2.0E11 Units in the projected range and the probe fleet shall be an additional 2.0E8 units.

Stunned to silence but submitted before Tonlintine’s Dual Authority the others resigned to the duties and the project would begin…

Years later…

Rlou Jzhon could barely keep his density in check, as he sat in the massive launch station of the Space Union Six, the new launching craft made especially for this mission. He looked back into the massive docking station of the enormous Space Station. The Colonization project alone was the most expensive endeavor in FLRXX history but the fruits of the planet had more than made up for it. Rlou flashed back to the early days, of the rugged pioneers who did in years what was though to be done in decades. Of the scientists who blossomed in AAIA- RCD’s strange ecosystem. Or of the great Nexus City patterned on the great Sprawl-Bubble Cities of the Gallitherian Union all of this was his goal. He had worked up hard through the ranks but as he shipped out the empty vessel, yearning for the filling touch of the alien resources which would be divvied among the Space Union member nations (who at the time had expend to the point of becoming synonymous with FLRX itself) whose new headquarters would be placed in the soon-to-be-named station very quickly. As he launched off at speeds known only to light itself before now, he headed out toward the anomaly and towards his goal…

Five Casualty-Hours Later: AAIA-RCD Orbit, 2.6E4 M above Nexus City

As the vast ship hovered above the shining eco-acropolis Rlou awaited the swarm of planetside shuttles that would take the lifeblood of the modern planet to his most worthy of hands, but destiny and Sejiin would seem to have other pans on his deliverance…

Colonel Sekira calmly walked along the brightly lit corridors of the OMS Mirokusariya as he made his way to the bridge. He was flanked on each side by a dozen or so subordinates as he and his posy passed through a maelstrom of other officers who were also making preparations for their imminent arrival.

The GPA had detected a strange new anomaly which recently sprang up in the sector and decided to look into it. The operation was pushed forth mostly due to concerns within the Orealyianis regarding an event similar to what recently happened in Beyon. Regardless, the Mirokusariya, a top of the line Orealyianis destroyer, was among the several vessels sent by the Agency to conduct the investigation on the newly formed spatial phenomenon.

"Status.", Sekira's voice pierced the slowly retracting doorway as he entered the bridge and sent his companions away to their respective positions. Carrying on, he made his way to an elevated platform which served as the captain's seat. As he was halfway towards his station, a rather vivid holographic image of an Orealyianis suddenly popped up beside his right shoulder. As it hovered in its spot alongside the colonel, it began to speak up and report the vessel's status.

//All operations proceeding normally.//

"Good to hear.", he replied. "The other ships, any sign of them yet?"

//Affirmative. OMS Nurizi, LKS Sious Tuna, MRS Sconja, and CDS Loiudirius detected and are all approaching designated rendezvous point at speed.//

"Keep on course."

Here's hoping this is one of those false alarms again..., he thought, hoping the source of the anomaly wasn't one of those borderline galactic invasions which the Agency's higher ups have been frequently talking about these days.

Meanwhile, back at Nexus City...

Kolou Athoun was quite the cherry fellow, as the elected Mayor-Governor of the city (and by default the entire planet) he was quite chipper about being the politician who won the election of those chosen to go on the mission. A former Civic engineer, he was delighted with the mechanics of the Eco-Cites of Gallitheria and was able to pull the Space Union council into designing the colony city after them. Currently he was sitting at his office, pondering some Al-Akhair equation or another when he was greeted by a slurp at his door.

"Come in, it's open!" he said in his usual disposition. "Sir," said KLHAI NounNOHN, the recent intern just transferred from the House Garurr whom had just awoken from her shorter than usual bonding session to the sound of the proximity alarms. "It seems that meteor swarm has arrived a few weeks earlier than expected." "Oh what a delight!" cheered the mayor. “I’ll beam the coordinates over to The Six; some good spacey footage is always good for the immigrants."  As the hard to displease sentry of democracy alerted the captain the S.U.-6 used its Miscellaneous Fuel reserves to boost around to the other quadrant of the Planet, preparing to gain some good images of the "meteors" that were coming.

Meteors weren't the only things the citizens were going to witness this time around, however...

Soon, the people of Nexus would know the true meaning of these words.

Back on the Mirokusariya, Sekira looked through the holographic map created by the ship's AI. It depicted the space around the Mirokusariya with a level of detail known primarily to the galactic community's greatest cartographic bodies. The sleek progression of varying strategic and tactical scales and the generous feed of data regarding even the smallest of significant planetary bodies were surprisingly complex for a vessel of its kind, even within the generous catalog of meticulously designed vessels within the quality-driven Orealyianis Stellar Navy.

Running a quick check of the area surrounding the anomaly, Sekira took an interest to a certain stellar system right beside the enigmatic spatial distortion. "Arcadia...", the colonel murmured as he zoomed into the system containing the world in question. However, just before he can go any further, a familiar transmission reverberated throughout the bridge.

It was the Sious Tuna. And it seems they were already in the rendezvous point, mere moments before the other three ships also sent a message to signal their arrival.

As the Sious Tuna hovered precariously over the anomaly, the other three vessels also began to observe the strange occurrence from their own respective angles. Moments later, a large visual cacophony of light echoed across the void as the Mirokusariya finally arrived at the destined point of meeting.

//To all units, this is Colonel Sekira Jiromusoniya of the OMS Mirokusariya. We have officially arrived at the rendezvous point.//

As the most advanced vehicle known on their planet rushed toward what it hoped was a good chance for some PR it came to a massive alien fleet. The response was shocking to say the least.

“WHAT THE $%&^!”

This sentiment was expressed back on Nexus and through the main planet via the wormhole-delayed image feed. Currently several billion (soon to be almost double that) Nymeidians  across FLRX expecting some pretty pictures of floating space rocks were getting front row seats to their species first contact. And with the wormhole’s time delay, the highest viable authorities were the Mayor of Nexus city and the captain of the SU-6, instantly pushing a cargo runner and a bureaucrat to being the two most important people in the history of their planet.
This was going to be interesting

"Sir. We appear to be picking up a signal...", one of the Mirokusariya's crew alerted Sekira. "... and it's not one of our own."

"Get a visual on it, and contact the others.", came the colonel's orders. Shuffling through the images obtained by the ship's sensors, the crew quickly made out what the uninvited visitor really was. Sekira's mouths promptly displayed smiles of fascination, "Prepare a shuttle."

Outside, three of the five vessels slowly began to turn to the unexpected development as the Sious Tuna kept a steady guard on everyone around them. Several minutes, and a million or so transmission samplings later, the contingency of ships finally sent out a message in a very crude version of the locals' own language.

I am Colonel Sekira Jiromusoniya, of the vessel OMS Mirokusariya.

We are members of the Galactic Protection Agency, sent to this region to investigate the recently detected spatial anomaly near this world.

We come in peace.

We will be quite grateful for any assistance that you might impart regarding information regarding the situation.

And we are also much obliged to do so in kind.

Thank you.//

// Greetings.

I Sekira Jiromusoniya Colonel, OMS of Mirokusariya container.

We need to send a very recent area of research, EPA is a member of the galaxy, close to the world.

 We will be peace.

We would really like to thank the help and information.

And we have very different needs.

Thank you.//

"Holy caro they’re sentient!"

"What should I do captain?!" said ensign oHaleieygh. "Send us a line to the Mayor’s office; I want him in a conference call to all of us. In the mean time, reroute all of our messages through the same message matrix they gave us.  ‘You can’t be thing of speaking with them!” “They obviously are capable of our language, we should at least try.”What should say?" "I have no idea, I'm a glorified space-trucker, not a diplomat, they say that they come from somehow close "to the world" and we did receive higher levels of background radiation when around the colony. Most assumed that it was just some nova-cluster but if this is true they might be an entire sprawl of races such as this."

After a while the Mayor was able to use the best of his, admittedly limited abilities to open a new message, when sent back trough the translation matrix. It appeared as thus:

//Hello. I have been mayor of this planet. Here, the colony sends FLRX fire. Do not shoot us. Before we can give you something, we require permission. Please wait until we can get it. Thank you.//

"Excellent!", Sekira smiled. "Contact the rest of the group. Tell the other captains I'm requesting a conference."

Several moments later, the captains have convened and prepared a rough draft of their procedure for this operation. The only thing left to do was to send another message and see how things go along.

//Greetings once again.

This is the vessel OMS Mirokusariya.

We shall wait for the permission.

Thank you.//

"Well, that should do it.", Sekira said to himself as he straightened the fold-necklace which contained his portable translator. He wouldn't want to appear sloppy in front of the many persons conversing all around him, especially since he represented the Orealyianis as a whole at this very crucial summit.

His four other diplomatic companions were also of the same train of thought. As per their nations' individual protocols, Sir Zaelious, Colonel Zerafi and Professor Salisarius were to act as primary representatives of their respective government bodies. Captain Kiyavi, on the other hand, would represent the Galactic Protection Agency as he is the highest-ranking officer currently present in the mission.

"Now, time to check on the others..."

As Sekira and the others walked up to the stage, each of them promptly proceeded to their posts as per assigned by the summit's committee. In unison, each of the officers swiftly came to rest on the fanned arrangement of seats as they waited for the proper moment. And when the signal finally came, Captain Kiyavi quickly stood up and marched to his place on the centrally located podium.

"Greetings, citizens of the nexus, and all the other people..."~, and so he continued. Several minutes later, everyone was back on the floor, conversing with the locals directly.

The Professor was perhaps the most eager to mingle with the newly discovered people. A natural born scientist, he took every opportunity to squeeze in a question while trying to maintain a, for the mostl part, coherent set of ideas through their devices' still rough translations.

"I really urgent, please do not please me I want to change this morning. NLSS whether your body is working?"~, Salisarius said to several representatives while wearing an awfully large grin. "So I really do see me? Such a beautiful sky, FLRX must have!"~

As the meeting summit began the leaders of the Nine Nations stood as representatives. From all the land Nymeidians had come for a great insect but the heads of these gear states would be the supreme. They were, in order:

Presiding Minister of the Chancellery (L WFLOO AUGD) of The Joint Countries cw Gallitheria
Sir Rakerd Galfery (NTRLOO EUAGD) of the Kaon Knights
Chief CHTCOO AOIGD of the Federated Tribes of FLRX
Number One (LWFLEUA AUNTRL) of the Laplaone Hierarchy
CEO Ralphard Bizzmarque (CHTCEU AOINTRL) of Marnymaxx Industries Incorporated
Emperor RAAHN of the Ferron Empire (NTRLEI   EUVL)
Kolaqk Namaar of the Zitherein Horde (CHTCEI AOIVL)
Enserthermon Conaaan of the Hallor Order (NTRLEU EUNTRL)
Lord High Priest* (LWFLEI AUVL) of the True Church** of Al-Akhair

These men and women and their predecessors had founded the Space Union all these years ago and now they came to speak to the stage to the very beings that pact would discover. But of course, they debated first.

“Perhaps we can create an alliance” spoke LWFLOO "it would lead into a new era of peace and prosperity."
Highlighted at that last bit Ralphard spoke up “And trade negotiations of MII would be quite profitable.”
“Oh quite you bunk your organization already has a tight rap on the Union coffers “ retorted LWFLEI “I’ve already had the Imperial Archivists up for weeks trying to find a way to explain ay this mess.”
“Perhaps we should just tell them to go away” said Conaaan in a monotonous drone “They’ll only complicate things.”
“Why would we do that?! These tools they have could be a great new path for Justice!” cried Rakerd. “If these beings are truly as good as they let on than the chances of expanding the Knighthood into the stars looks bright!”
“These abominations should be razed on sight!” Yelled out Kolaqk “We should wage a great war against there filth! Their blood would rain from the heavens! It would be Glorious!
“And have us killed?” Number One piped in “While it is obvious that the beings, sharing no sacred blood, deserve numbers in the trillions they can be of much use to us.”
“I doubt we should take such action, I sense much good in these beings.” Muttered the old Shaman CHTCOO.
“Bah! These beings should be conquered in the name of FLRX! Not trifled with like some toy at a gift ship!” The Emperor sneered in his mask.
“And how do we know they are friendly in the first place,” concurred the High Priest. “Perhaps we should call of the ting until we can better defend ourselves these beans have great power that is not to be played with.”

“Nevertheless” completed the Presiding Minster “The vote was cast and as the High Council of the Space Union it our sworn duty to serve the people we are over. Now can we agree to speak to them at least?
“Aye” they all spoke
“Then let us begin.”

Upon the main podium the great Presiding Minister of the Chancellery (PMC) held before the great creatures.
“Greetings aliens! I am Presiding Minister of the Chancellery of the Joint Countries cw Gallitheria and High Speaker of the Space Union LWFLOO AUGD, state your name and purpose!”
Though through the twisted lenses of the as-of-not-yet perfected translators it would be herd as:

Foreign Greetings! I am a J.C. presiding minister of the chancellery and speaker of the Space Union         LWFLOO AUGD. Your name and purpose?

*Bastion of The Empire, Pontiff Of The  Holy City, Moff of All Nations ,Adjudicator of Prominence, Elector of Justice, Lord High-All of The Eternal ,Speaker of His Will and Bearer of all Chastity, In Permanence, Esquire
** Primacy Of The Empire, Way Of The Path, Holy Docile Leader Of The Way Dynasty Of The Primes The Eternal Wisdom , Keeper of the Tomes, Archive Inquisitus, Prison Of Hatred, Island Of Normancy, Vehicle Of The True Empire and Path To Salvation

"Executive, I galaxies Kazamadariya Kiyavi, Orealyianis Nurizi, known as the Royal captain ordered the representatives."~, Kiyavi carefully answered the minister's question to the best of his, hopefully sufficient understanding. "Our original purpose, we recently had to determine areas abnormal in this field know. But we are determined to meet the requirements for establishing a stable communication with the new cultural space for the resident organization."~
