Title: A Village Tale
Post by: flabe on September 23, 2009, 06:43:33 pm
(http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f53/flabe/Village.png)

A new civilization is beginning. There is only a handful of villagers, who only have the clothes on their backs. They are stupid people, but that's why you are here. You are a omniscient being, and these people are relying on you. Their goal is to make the village Grand, but it is currently Turtle Poo.

How do you go about this goal?

Wow dude i would tell you to slow down with all these rps you make one atleast 1 every hour and they end because you never update or you ignore it like peasents quest and ect. You made French Quest yeserday but if you will update.

But i think you should make a axe and cut down a tree but geting a rock and some stick and leafs from the coconut tree

A villager creates an axe following your blue-prints. He begins chopping at a tree. The others wish that there is more to life than just chopping trees.

Hmm...cut down more trees, as well as making logs with the one you have now.

Harvest the coconuts. They can chop them in half and eat them, then use the leftover shells as bowls.

Have someone grab the fallen and dried pine needles and use some of the wood to start a fire.

Also, can they go exploring? I don't see many resources at our starting area that we can use to build shelters. Look for empty caves and a river or spring, we need the river/spring for fresh water and can use the cave for shelter until we make something more permanent.

I think we'll have to start calling it Pulling A Flabe. Making interesting games and then leave them to make another game not so much after the first is made.

You tell them to gather coconuts. They put the in the temporary storage facility.

Feeling the need to explore new lands two head east. There seems to be some NATIVES. They appear to worship a HOLY ONE up in the sky.

Give the natives coconuts, and befriend them, and if that doesn't work, or if they refuse, bash them over the head with the coconuts.

-WARNING: A SOMEWHAT RACIST AND HIGHLY OFFENSIVE SUGGESTION FOLLOWS-

Natives? There's only one thing to do when finding natives, attack them and take their land as our own! Take the coconuts and approach under the guise of trade, then when close enough have the guy with the axe go to town chopping up the natives. The others will provide cover fire using the coconuts as projectiles!

Oblivion has done it again. And afterward tell the survivors of the village it was accidental and give them some clothes as a sign of friendship. Hopefully they will die from the diseases we have and are immune to.

The sneaky attack failed. Horribly. Their HOLY ONE became angry at your people. It throws up a wall of DOMINANCE. The natives are pleased.

However they offer your petty people a deal. Dig them a well, and they will accept you as slaves allies.

'Burn their women, rape their buildings, get them to let you live in their (now burnt) huts, Put salt water in their well, and dig a well for the natives.' Would be backwards. How does that make any sense. lol

You dig them their well. The natives are happy and thank your people. The SUN GOD appears to have calmed down as well.

What is this 'night' you speak of?

They wish to know your names. And you comply.

From left to right: Helga, Tark, Wok Wok, Kevice, Olga II, and Taco Wiggleton.

Agreed, except for one thing. Ask the natives for help building the huts and have the purple guy go fishing. We have three coconuts, or 6 coconut halves, so that's enough bowls for all our people to eat out of.

Taco digs his way to the surface, startling Olga II. Needing some shelter the others begin contructing a home. One of the natives helps out.

Another native help Helga fish in the ocean. She caught a large Tuna Kahuna.

The CHEIF has finally arrived and wants to talk. But he does not want to cross the FILTHY hole and get his EXTRAVAGANT clothing dirty.

Taco has been appointed to CHIEF. Him and the native CHEIF speak about CHEEFLY matters on the new bridge. Even with the bridge, the secret UNDERGROUND LAIR is still accessible.

The house construction is going well.

The Cheif tells your Chief to worship their HOLY ONE.

Tark's internal feud with his ass has been resolved. His ass is no longer lazy! He helps out Olga II and the native with the house. It sould be completed soon.

Helga caught another Tuna Kahuna! SPEARMINT FLAVORED.

Kevice knocks down another tree for moar wood.

And the SECRET undergound lair has been expanded. Now featring HANDCRAFTED ladders, and CRUMMY support for eventual water crash.

Also a possibly MYSTICAL rock is blocking the path for further digging.

For the future:

Does anyone know how to post a flash? I've uploaded the .swf to imageshack, and I'm using the
Code: [Select]
[flash=200,200][/flash] It works, but only as a link. So I guess the real question is how to make it viewable without a link. Like a picture.

Here is what it's doing:

(Still wanting answer to question, but...)

You ask the natives about night, but they have no idea what you're talking about.

The house is finally DONE!

The rock has been dug out a little more. Wok Wok begins worshipping it. MAGICALLY a face forms on it. The new god now SLEEPS, waiting to be excavated.

You wish for your people to improve the supports from CRUMMY to DECENT. But they don't know how.
Title: Re: A Village Tale

Use the palm tree that's just been cut down to make support beams, and also, dig Luna out.
Title: Re: A Village Tale
Post by: Josasa on September 27, 2009, 08:41:16 pm
Continue to clear the large stone. Also, use the palm tree to support the underground tunnels. Once the magical stone (Luna?) is fully uncovered, flood the chamber and use the water to move the stone closer to the surface (since things are easier to move when they are in water).

Either way, if she can fly then she can combat the sun god and we drain the villager's water supply at the same time. It's win win.

Dig out our new god and ask the natives how they get their food. They don't seem to be fishing so they might be farming. If we can get them to show us the secrets of farming before we kill them off that would be preferable.

Thanks for continuing this, Flabe! :)
Also, I don't think you can embed flash animations in the forum. If you want to use them, the best you can do is link to them like you already did. That works fine.

As for the game itself, besides digging out the stone god and planting the coconuts like others suggested, ask the leader of the natives why the sun seems sad. We don't want to anger it.

The supports are betters now.

Luna has been dug out! Once you move her outside you can add her to the PANTHEON. But, a native sees Wok Wok and Luna! The native is startled.

Speaking of PANTHEONS what to you call yourself? And do you have a physical form (sun, moon)? Also you feel kind of UNAPPRECIATED by your followers.

Three coconuts were planted. Somehoe they are already SPROUTS.

Sol is just crazy and makes crazy faces.

Natives don't trust you enough right now to speak of their UNIMAGINABLE methods of getting food.

The pantheon name should be Delecto Secuutus quod ut exsisto Diligo (To Love Followers and to be Loved) or Delecto Secuutus quod ut exsisto Diligo per Lemma (To Love the Followers and to be loved by Them). Also, tap Luna on the head. And by tap, I mean punch, for her skin is hard, like rock.

Title: Re: A Village Tale
Post by: flabe on September 28, 2009, 07:55:14 pm
Well there is no need to name the pantheon, it will just be pantheon. And there is nothing to join, since we are creating it. All other villages are monotheists, we are the first polytheists.
I was just asking for our name and form. Current vote says we are ocean w/o a name.
And getting Sol to join requires killing off the natives, or assimilating/opressing them.

You are the ocean and your name is Oceanus (to keep up the Latin).

Olga II swims to the west but can not go any further because she is a poor swimmer. Tark heads east and discovers FERTILE LAND with crops for the natives. A TREACHEROUS cliff is in his way.

Luna reaches the outside world by mystic shrinking powers. Luna has joined the Pantheon!

Are we still trying to get rid of the natives? If we are then we can dig out more of the tunnel underneath their part of the village. Build supports to hold it up as we go along then after we are finished we can bust the supports and collapse their village into the ground and kill most of them. Those that are left we can convert by force. If Sol tries to stop us by protecting the natives then with both us and Luna we should be able to counter him.

We can't make fire if there aren't any trees. Since we're on a desert island (I think) resources are going to get used up rather quickly.

Drift wood. Only we will have eternal night.
Other islands won't.
And fire can be made on more than wood. Dead grass, for example, is extremely flammable. And if giant mushrooms grow to replace the trees then we can use those.

I agree with the plan to dump part of us into the chasm to save Tark.

Also I never said to kill Sol, I said counter. As in; If he uses his powers to stop our villagers or help his own we would use our powers to stop what he is doing. Then after we forcibly convert his people he would have no choice but to join our pantheon.

As the head of our pantheon we would have no choice but to reduce Sol's control by limiting his influence. Every other 12 hour shift (perhaps 2 updates) Sol must leave the sky and sleep. During this time Luna will be in charge of watching over our people and providing light (shes obviously not quite as good with the light bit as Sol). After the second 12 hour shift is finished Sol can return to the sky to provide light and protect our people. These two shifts will be called 'day' and 'night'. Each full shift rotation, or day-night cycle will, confusingly, also be called a 'day'.
