How many episodes total does that come with? I mean, why does it need so many DVDs for only 5 seasons?

5 SERIES. thats classic, the next generation, deep space nine, voyager and enterprise. Three of those went on for about 7 or 8 years. Question answered?

Even if all those went on for 10 years and had 2 DVDs per season, it would only be 132 DVDs (including the movies, if they each had 2 DVDs). Why are there so freakin' many?!

There is always more then 4 DVD's for one seasons, and that is just for the episodes think of all the bonus material.

and each episode is an hour long. of course if it were on one of the latest disk based data storage devices (bluray for example) you could fit each series on its own separate disk and then have two or so for the movies. It wouldnt take up as much space but I guess the quality would take a dive.

Heh, I don't have the room for this! And I've already seen every single episode ... more than once. ;D

My parents are also HUGE Star Trek fans (impressive since they're in their 60s) so we always have something to talk about. Perhaps they would like this...

Sam's Club released all 10 movies in 2-disc DVD format for $110, so of course I bought it!
But man...I want at least Original Series, Next Gen, and Voyager...I don't know about DS9 though...
And Enterprise was okay.

What am I saying? If I had the extra cash, of course I would get it!
