Title: Episode 25 Posted
Post by: Gaming Steve on November 06, 2005, 09:26:39 pm
I guess I have totally given up on trying to make the show shorter as every time I try it just ends up longer. Oh well, enjoy this week's gaming goodness.

anything else about spore besides the pic.

the pic is pretty cool, but nothing really groundbreaking IMO. it does give an idea of what limb/foot types will be available.

i love the idea of mechanical enhancements for creatures! imagine adding mechanical wings, or maybe legs if you have a slithering creature...  ;D

well thats only in the technical era, and we don't know if we can only replace parts already found on our creature or if we can add some.

Still, I want to know if theres anything good in the podcast. I'm hard of hearing so I wouldn't get anything very well from it.

some of the top parts look like bits of the Quadraxis robot from metroid Prime 2.
It all suggests that as much thought has gone into robots as creatures. thumbs up :)

Wow, I TOTALLY recognize the Name That Game sound, but I just can't remember what game it is. It must have been forever since I played it. Great tune though.

Steve didn't mention it, but there was also a version of Space Ace for the Atari ST and Amiga computers that came on floppy disks. I can't remember how many total floppies, but I remember having to swap disks at different points in the game. It was pretty impressive graphics at the time given it was not on Laserdisc. Just checking the web, it was developed by Readysoft.
Even more impressive to me was the version of Dragon's Lair for the GameBoy Color. Very nicely done. Pick it up if you ever see it in the cheap bin at a game store.
