(NOTE: Sorry about the double post.)

Behold, the Goonal have joined the Galactic Trade Confederacy! The representative? Senator J'hok Nebel. View it in the link below.

And while you're at it, why don't you check out the mighty Kratair in the next link? (Hey, they founded the GTC, so as a member species of the GTC, the Goonal should advertise their pure awesomeness.)

Jaddos range from the size of a dachshund to a golden retriever. They act like energetic puppies a lot, and they can swim very well. There's an annual Jaddo swimming race on Apica. It's quite popular. Oh, and guess what the best part is? They can sense panic, so it's incredibly easy to housetrain a Jaddo. :D

The Rubakaw lives in wet places, like ocean shores and swamps. Though easily capable of killing an adult Goonal, nobody panics when a Rubakaw shows up. It dislikes the taste of Goonal flesh, so all it does is hop up to bystanders, lick them a little, then hop off, sufficiently disgusted by the taste. :) Whenever a scientist captures one for research, the Rubakaw starts kicking the scientist in the shins and hops away into the wild. :D

But, you already joined the GTC, you can't join more than one at a time.  Think, what would happen if TGF and the GTC went to war?  The Goonal would experience a civil war, and that would be a mess.  It's one of those unwritten rules.

Edit: On second thought, that could end up being VERY interesting.

I already thought of that, and that's why the Goonals have a representative in TGF who holds the position of Peace Leader. And if TGF and the GTC went to war anyway, then the Goonals would retreat to their homeworld and refuse to become involved.

*Back from the grave* :o

Evolutionary history
"Well, to put it simply, fish became reptiles, reptiles became avians, avians started adapting to marine life, then the semi-marine avians settled down on land. They grew two more legs for better traction, a long neck for reaching tall vegetation, and more neck feelers to display more emotion and to heighten sensitivity. Their flipper-wings eventually became arms, and finally Goonalkind were born."
-Senator Kloon Qir

Rigon
(http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x30/Zeeky64/Rigon.png)
The fish ancestors of the Goonals. Those little bumps are electricity-sensitive, similar to sharks.

Trarrg
(http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x30/Zeeky64/Trarrg.png)
The reptilian ancestors of the Goonals. The bumps now secrete a toxic adrenaline when it is aggravated.

Gluriup
(http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x30/Zeeky64/Gluriup.png)
The avian ancestors of the Goonals. As you can see, their bumps have become feelers.

Gan
(http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x30/Zeeky64/Gan.png)
The land-marine ancestor of the Goonals. Lots of change here.

Gjon
(http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x30/Zeeky64/Gjon.png)
The land ancestor of the Goonals. Even more change now.

If you want to know more, just ask.

Goonal Starfighter
(http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x30/Zeeky64/GoonalStarfighter.png)
Armed with a high-intensity heat ray, this agile, speedy fighter is a force to be reckoned with. It even has a short-range antispace drive. One of it's few shortcomings is it's shields, as it has light plating and a low-power force field.

Goonal Freighter
(http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x30/Zeeky64/GoonalFreighter-1.png)
This freighter is slow, bulky, and unarmed save for a single laser cannon. Despite it's slow speed in realspace, it has an antispace drive capable of going a third of the galaxy's length in one jump. It is heavily shielded with reinforced gigasteel plating and a high-power electromagnetic force field.

Goonal Embassy Ship
(http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x30/Zeeky64/GoonalEmbassyShip-3.png)
Diplomats travel in this luxurious, heavily armed, highly shielded diplomatic vessel. Specifications are kept secret, due to new technologies used.

And now, a list of Goonal war vehicles.

Goonal Submersible
(http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x30/Zeeky64/GoonalSubmersible.png)
A very deadly wartime submarine equipped with antimatter torpedoes.

Goonal Tank
(http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x30/Zeeky64/GoonalTank.png)
This engine of destruction is a near unstoppable juggernaut armed with two antimatter cannons.

Goonal Warcopter
(http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x30/Zeeky64/GoonalWarcopter.png)
An extremely fast and maneuverable chopper, it is armed with twin plasma batteries.

Goonal Trivia
-Goonal chefs are among the best in the galaxy.
-Goonal chefs are valued members of society, because not only do they cook food, they also produce medicines.
-Eggs are a primary part of the Goonal diet. There is a popular Goonal-operated egg-themed restaurant chain called Eggtopia.
-Goonals know over four thousand ways to cook an egg.
-Goonal art is rich with tiles, mosaics, and especially sculptures. There are no paintings, though.
-In Goonal society, locking hands and necking is the equivalent of kissing. This is NOT to be confused with hugging while necking, which is the Goonal equivalent of a friendly hug.
-Goonals take video games very seriously. This is because Goonals never invented casual or playful video games. They only used training simulators.

GAH, quadruple post! Come on, people! >:(

Goonal History
Goonal history is incredibly boring. There have been no major wars or genocides or anything interesting. No warlike nations ever developed. There has been nothing but peace and cooperation throughout the ages. Even in prehistoric times, Goonals were friendly with one another. This absence of dark ages allowed scientific process to blossom beautifully, which explains why Goonals reached space 1,267 years before humans did. As for poverty and hunger, they have been constantly a thorn in side of Goonal society. But unlike humans, the Goonal government has always been working hard to stop poverty and hunger. And I mean always.
Due to the boring quality of Goonal history, non-Goonal students rarely, if ever, take the Goonal history class. As such, few universities offer that class.

This is how boring it is. That Perrachi was on page two when he zonked out.

The readers will decide what's next. You are more than welcome to post any requests you have.

I'm surprised the Goons and the Perri haven't gon to war yet with this tidbit of trivia

Perrachi Trivia
They think the practice of eating eggs is absolutely revolting and sick.(Wouldn't you?)
They consider flying to be a necessary part of sapience. Like humans, but wings, not hands/arms.
They invented the laser surprisingly early on, and it has been a main part of their weaponry ever since. Soon after, they worked wonders with EMP waves and static electricity.
While they are Diplomats, their vehicles are heavily armed. They like to call this "aggressive negotiations."
The only clothing they usually wear is hats. Hats are a quasi-important part of their culture and signify rank and position. Other clothing is rather rare, and is usually worn only by high-ranking Perrachi.
(History and Government coming soon.)

Here's a question. What do the feelerss on there necks do you seem to imply that large ones are ideal in a mate implying a connection to xenoestrogen.
They're not actually feelers, despite the fact that Goonals can feel with them. And if you look at their anatomy that I previously posted, you will see that they store excess water and fat. It is a sort of coincidence that males find large feelers attractive, actually. The feelers have little purpose in the mating process, other than tickling the mate. (Excuse the explicitness, please.)
Now, you seem like an okay guy. Just don't spam and you won't get banned.

The Daarbu is a stringed instrument similar to the dulcimer. It can come in several varieties, in which the length of strings and amount of strings can vary. It can sound like any stringed instrument, really, but most sound like a sitar or dulcimer.
The Tanton is a sort of drum. It sounds like an Iranian dohol.
The Na'Bee is a complex woodwind instrument. You play by A) Blowing into the primary mouthpiece while covering the secondary mouthpiece or B) Place it sideways, like a flute, and blow two different air currents into each mouthpiece. It sounds like an oboe or a clarinet.
The Subuu is a simple enough to familiarize woodwind instrument. It sounds like a recorder.
The Tinalshia is an exotic percussion instrument consisting of several hollow glass spheres filled with various amounts of water hanging from strings. It is played with metal mallets, and sounds like a glass armonica.*

Goonal footwear coming next.

*Yes, it really is called an armonica. I didn't make a typo by forgetting an h. Benjamin Franklin invented it.

The Earth equivalent in shoes, from left to right: Work shoes, fuzzy slippers, high heels, rain boots, and overly tricked-out sneakers. Yes, the Goonals do have an equivalent of normal sneakers, but many young Goonals vastly prefer the tricked-out kind.

For the record, that "breathing through the skin" thing is officially nonexistent. They breathe through their oral and olfactory facilities, and that's that.

I don't mean to complain or nitpick, but wouldn't having a size of 84% of earths give it more like 0.80g? I was planning on having the race that I'm planning on be from a low gravity world, something like 0.60 or so g (about maybe 60-65% earths size) and I had checked the facts that since mars is about 40% that of earths, it has 0.38g. I know density comes into play, but was just curious as far as this one goes.

It's only 0.60g because of its low mass.

EDIT: I took your advice. it's 0.81g now.

Well, first update in months. I've updated the look of the Goonals to be more plausible and realistic. I've looked back at my past work and realized, "Hey, I can do better than that." So, I'll be updating all of the Wildlife of Apica, and making some more Goonal vehicles and Goonal adventures. And, I will retcon Goonal history. To say that Goonals have had so few wars and have always fought poverty and hunger is stupid. So, Goonal nature is essentially human nature. No wait, human nature in the future, when it's been changed a bit. Also, not all Goonals are militant darwinists - just a very few of them.

But, religious practice is illegal under Goonal law. See, they didn't want a repeat of the bad things that religion caused in the past. So, over time, science's influence grew and grew, and eventually, when religion was practically gone, save for a few weird cults, the Goonals weighed the pros and cons of what religion had done for them. They decided that, after going over all of known Goonal history, the risks outweighed the benefits. Therefore, religion was outlawed, for the good of their own society.
(Yes, some of it IS my opinion. No, I am NOT trying to force it upon others, I swear. If they happen to be influenced by it in any way, then that's their own fault. So don't blame me if related arguments start popping up. That's not what I want.)

If you want to check out my new, updated creations, just search Sporepedia for omegatripod and subscribe. I'll also be making sporecasts!

Ooooooooh, man, you're going to get a rather mad Mr. President.

Let's not invoke it.

There are many people in real life that feel negative about religion because of their experience with it. In the like manner, a race of creatures may have lived under false and corrupt practices of religion. In turn, they oust it from their culture. While others do not use such practices in their religion and find much greater peace and harmony, and use it as a governing doctrine. Each race develops differently.

"Arrives in I-Force 0"

Whoa whoa whoa, did i just get used as a threat? I feel honored disturbed and slightly aroused at the same time. But anyway back to business.

Yeah Goony, using you creature to push your own political agenda is kind of sleazy; itís okay to have your opinion but doing this takes it to Battlefield Earthlevels. for example i have certain "alternative' thoughts and opinions that do not fit in with mainstream society (such as my belief in the genetic inclination of Europeans to do acts typically known as "evil" the idea of benevolent eugenics and the inherent veils of humanity), the ability of free speech is a natural human right and you canít get banned or arrested by just stating your beliefs. but you sure as hell wonít see me making some thinly veiled straw man in my CC nor will you see me make an outrageously offensive comment like" ha ha stupid whitey why donít you go rape and kill some indigenous people, better do it soon before i kill you all for my one true race." To summarize

1. Opinions are good but donít get militant or offensive
And
2. Donít push agendas with your creatures.

Aside from that I'm all cool.

He's not. His race happens to be atheist because their experiences with religion have been mostly negative. If you want to complain about atheist creatures post in the Kratair thread, they're militant die-hard atheists.
Also on a side note, the Perrachi are mostly atheist. Religion is certainly not outlawed, but most are atheist simply because of the war with the Cyki(cultist Perrachi) and because science is so dominating in everyday life. I should point out that there are quite a few religious creatures, like the Yerxe. Unfortunately the Yerxe set a bad example for religion. Well, um... The Zeldons are religious and peaceful!

@Mr. President:
Dude. Where in the flippedy-flying-f$#% did you get the idea that I was against freedom of religion? That's just low. I think that the cons of religion outweigh the pros, that's all.
Why did the Goonals ban religion? Well, I want to say that I was trying to make an ironic statement, or a satire, but then I would be lying. I did it because don't think that it's been done with any race before. Except maybe with the Kratair, but I only skimmed their history, so I'm not sure. While the Kratair yell and rant upon the sight of extremist religions, Goonals shake their heads, sigh, and mutter amongst themselves.

After looking at your behavior, I've concluded that you're really bad at analyzing people and their motives. Work on it, will you please?

(And, uh, no offense, k? We cool?)

Whoa whoa whoa, chill out guys, it was just are preemptive measure just so you wouldn't take it too far. Whist the Kraitier were atheist there creator wasn't a (known) militant atheist, who publicly stated his desire to have the government abolish religion. Your opinions are fine but as Gec said making your creature history a jack chick straw man of your own beliefs can be dangerous especially when they are so radical. Now i'm not one to judge (as you have seen) but i most certainly do not avow of using fiction to push agendas, its just a slight warning before you go to far with it. I honestly don't believe that it was a preemptive measure. I think that you're trying to cover up your own embarrassment. Besides, I think that I already made it clear that I was NOT trying to push my own agendas. I did it because it had not been done before. I thought, "Gosh, have any humanly-thinking races ever suffered extremely negative experiences with religion? Yes. But wait, are any of them prejudiced enough against them to outlaw freedom of religion itself? Nope, think I'll do that." Later, of course, I remembered about the Kratair. I thought, "Oh crap, the Kratair already did that. But I like the concept [of atheists going too far], so I'll stick with it."

And Mr. President? I thought I already made it clear:

Dude. Where in the flippedy-flying-f$#% did you get the idea that I was against freedom of religion?

I like freedom of religion. I love it. It's like freedom of speech or the separation of church and state: one of the things that our founding fathers very much wanted to preserve.

Mr. President, my patience is wearing thin. Please actually read our posts THOROUGHLY and don't make presumptions.

Th, uh, th-thank you. Wow. I'm sorry, Gec, but Grazony captured the Goonal's look perfectly. As in, better than you did. EXCEPT for just one tiny, nitpicky detail. Here is a rather rare sight: an actual Goonal car. Not just any car, a land car. Incredible! Naturally, what with [pseudo]teleporters and all, they're only seen on colony worlds and the like. (They actually require an antenna for hyperthought transmissions! So seemingly primitive!) Other, older land cars can also be seen in museums.
