Title: Is anyone NOT experiencing problems?
Post by: Blulightning on June 17, 2008, 07:58:14 pm
Am I the only person who is able to run the editor perfectly fine?

I still have the Download Manager installed and everything.

I had my first creature disappear, which I fixed and I haven't uploaded any since and none have disappeared since then.
But otherwise, my editor works without problems...

Is anyone else NOT experiencing crashes and stuff?

I'm not having any issues. This morning I was having some hiccups sharing my creatures but after I got back home everything was fine.

No crashes, no freezes, no nothing.

I'm not able to get the editor to antialias, even when I force it on in my nvidia control panel. The Sporepedia cards antialias fine, but as far as the editor and the test drive mode go, no antialiasing whatsoever, no matter what I do.

I'm also having the disappearing creatures problem.

Those are the only two issues I've had whatsoever. Everything else runs like a dream for me.

I'm on the trial and everything is good, waiting to download the full one tomorrow.

It runs great for me, except there seems to be some weird graphics issue. No matter what, all the creatures' skins have these little cracks in them. It's hard to describe, but it's really annoying.

No freezes, no crashes, no glitches, no disappearing anything.

Must be my Vista.

Or I just rock.

I have had no problems what so ever, Aside from having 5 million versions of my creatures upon reinstall, not being able to login to spore.com and having my creatures completely disapear when I did manage to log in. But as far as performance, its been running smooth.

Update your drivers maybe?

Well it's good to hear that other people aren't having issues.
It seems like it's almost 50/50 but that's probably because only the people who are having problems post about it...

It works pretty good for me.  The only problem I have is that I can only upload one creature per game session, but that's not a big deal.

Everything seems to work fine for me, and I play it on a laptop that apparently doesn't meet the recommended requirements.   I wonder if I'll be able to play the full game on the laptop???

Haven't had any disappearing creature problems, though I haven't uploaded any to the Sporepedia yet, so maybe that's why that hasn't happened yet...

My trial works beautifully, although I've only had it a few hours.   :)

If it wasn't for the internet being stupid and the 'Pedia not limiting you to one Share per session, than My editor would be fine. I'm having no major problems right now besides various connection issues.

I can rarely upload creatures, am missing several...

The actual creation works fine :)

My only issues are with sharing the creatures, and that's only because of the servers.  Everything else is working fine.

Works very well for me.

Only having problems with sharing the content.

I know i was NOT having problems with the EADM/CC interaction, and i guess this probably won't happen with the full.... if my order and validation issues get resolved anyway

No problems with CC, although I'm still waiting for the validation email to come in.

The creation side works fine the paintings a bit slow but looks awesome when it completes. The main problem I have is uploading creatures it seems very hit an miss hopefully they will sort this problem and everything will run smoothly.

I did have to uninstall EADM to get it to run though.

Overall very impressed now I finally have the complete version. I finally got it installed and running at 1am last night created one creature then collapsed into bed exhausted. Hope to create more tonight and really put the editor through its paces.

As of this moment, there have been 127,030 creatures added to the data base in what? 3 days?, Holy Cow!

Most of that in the last 24 hours too, along with ~100,000 users.

I had the issue with creations not appearing in the creature browser, although I managed to fix it messing around with the caches. At least for the moment. No issue with EADM (but once again I'm on Vista, so that might help).

The only thing ive noticed is that its a little slow when panting my creatures. This might not be a "problem" but more an issues with my computers speed  :P

iv got a 2.4 quad core CPU and a GF8800 and it still takes a couple of secs to texture, i can see what its doing though, its analising ur creature and picking out where the different parts of it are, then applying the texture to it 1 layer at a time. I think thats just the program its self not realy a bug or issue.

No real issues here and my computer is near 3 years old.

Minor issues are to be expected with all new releases. They can't possibly account for all computer set ups out there. It will all get worked out. :)

Apart from the ingame sporepedia being slightly odd, no problems at all.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do I update the drivers on a Mac?

Haven't had any problems, everything is running smooth, the EADM doesn't crash anything for me.

I seem to be doing fine now. I restored all my missing ones and I have been able to upload without needing to restart either. Also I use to not be able to send post card but now I can again. Looks like they have fixed things up on the main server.

Also there is over 100,000 creatures on the the main server already!  :o

No problems here, running on XP on an ok-ish computer. I've not had any of the bugs anyone has talked about so far, bar the creature uploading bug which happened once and then has not happened again.
