Title: Gaming Steve Episode 64
Post by: Danzik on December 04, 2007, 08:31:31 am
Since I've been gone for a little while I decided to make this show a bit special. Not only do I have a great guest but I have my biggest contest yet where you can win a free next-gen game console! That's right, a brand new console, as well as other great prizes, and all you have to do is listen to the show!

And in celebration of National Dice Day I have a great interview with Christopher Perkins from Wizards of the Coast. Chris and I geek out and talk about Dungeon & Dragons new 4th Edition and it's upcoming transition into the online world. Enjoy the show!

The podcast XML feed was actually not working. I fixed it for now, but iTunes uses that to get the feed, so iTunes should be updated shortly.

Also if you guys could please Digg the podcast (http://www.digg.com/podcasts/Gaming_Steve), every little bit helps (especially after such a long time being away)

You know what, Steve, you should take a look at The New Superpower RP (http://www.gamingsteve.com/blab/index.php?topic=7327.0) in the Storytelling & Roleplaying section. Granted you probably don't have enough time to play it, but I think you'd like it; it's a lot like the whole 'create your own' game concept that you discussed in the podcast.

And I know I'd choose the RP over a game any day. :P

If only DnD models were the same size as Warhammer models, I'd go on a converting spree.

I think I might become a DnD nerd on top of my Warhammer Nerd status.

Would a Brettonian count as a..... something knight?

Interesting contest. Is it open to people outside of the US too? I can imagine shipping a console overseas would cost a lot...

It's open to anyone who is a member of Gaming Steve Forum. They just have to have an account here.

Grrr... after all this time a new podcast, and I can't listen to it! Doesn't download in iTunes, in my catcher (Juice) or directly from gamingsteve.com. Odeo seems to work for the older episodes, but the new one isn't up there. I suspect it may be an issue with my company's firewall, but if so I'm s.o.l. ("uh boss, could you please turn off the firewall for a few minutes so that I can download the latest Gaming Steve?").

Any chance someone could: a) put the episode up on a file sharing service for me, or b) update it on Odeo <cough Steve cough>

Thanks!

Ahem ... that is what I meant when I said "directly from gamingsteve.com". Sorry for not being clearer about that.

1. It works on iTunes now...

2. Right click the link posted earlier, click save as, save somewhere and put it on your iPod. It will appear as a song not a podcast but that's all.

Be happy to but, what's a good filesharing service to do this with?
Edit:  Try this (http://www.filefactory.com/file/f62442/).

Thanks for trying Danzik. That one didn't work: kept asking me to sign up for the premium service but didn't download although I went through the whole process with the characters etc. Maybe if you have the chance you could try senduit.com (http://senduit.com), that's always worked for me.

Here's a Senduit link (http://senduit.com/2fabea), let's see if that works. I set it to expire in one week, the maximum, to give you (and possibly others) enough time to download it.

Title: Re: Gaming Steve Episode 64

It's game[at]gamingsteve.com, with the '[at]' replaced with @.

Email adresses always have the @ sign in them (in my experience anyway).

So it's game<insert @ here>gamingsteve.com
