We are hoping their aren't nukes. You don't want your home city or colonies being nuked while your exploring with your ufo.

Combat during the city stage will probably be real time.

I think that uber missle could be nuclear, it sure is Danm strong.

I hope they don't let the super weapons get too out of hand in the game. I like using lots of defenses, and super weapons make any defense obsolete.

I'd hazard that super weapons will either be very rare or confined to the UFO only.

Will's "mega weapons" are definitely what I'd call super.

As a side note, does anyone think that the 'volcano machine' thingy that lets you create an atmosphere on a planet could be used on a populated area? The Spore re-creation of Pompeii and killing off the neighbours without radioactive fallout. What fun!

I'd love it if they allowed biological warfare, with odd gases which mutilate other creatures that breathe it in (and other effects) or that destroys landscapes.  Just think it would bring another element to the game.

Mutating creatures would be a very good possibibility.

I said mutilate, not mutate... but yeah creatures which can metamorph like cuttlefish as such would be very cool.

Weird, mutate works well in that sentence too. Gasses could cause creatures to grow extra limbs.

Mmm or they could produce strange fruits which produce spores (oh ha ha ha, aren't i funny?) that when inhaled, mutate parts of a creature's body?

I'm very interested in combat during the tribal stage.  The idea of having aggressive hunters or more peaceful farmers is very intriguing.  Domestication would also be interesting but I'm not sure how viable an option it will be.  Being able to do limited breeding of other races (guard dogs, food, speed, etc) could be very cool and if messing around with species at the UFO is possible than it shouldn't be Impossible for it to be done at an earlier stage.  I like the idea of Giant geese defending my flocks of edible spiders.  -leeman
