It's that Sims 2 that's been keeping Monkey away.  ;D   I'm still on most nights, usually as Danzik Lux or Big Angry Anglo.

Just picked up HammerJack by Marc D. Giller.
Seemed interesting enough in the store.  First 100 pages of 355 just arent that at all.
Pretty much it's turning into an everyone in the future is hopped up on synthetic drugs, typical small resistance that wants to destroy technology and this shadow company creates an overly powerful AI.  The only interesting character in the book so far just died an unfitting death by falling out a spaceship.  That and i keep getting lost every few pages because the author keeps putting in gadgets and tech that he doesnt explain and leaves it to the reader to figure out.
It does seem work in a wierd sort of way.  It seems like the story is almost over but there are 255 more pages.  I just wonder what's in the rest of those pages to keep the story going which gives hope that the book will get better.

Probably one of my favorite books of all time.  I reread it just a few months ago.

I got beat in Star Craft while at an internet cafe in Korea.  It was absolutly horrible.  I think the game lasted a total of 8 minutes and there were over 40 or so of the builder bots in my base.  The guy then beat me a total of 14 times in under 3 hours.  That had to be the most embarrasing.

The time I beat Super Contra.  Ok, not really, noone ever beat that game.

Seriously, probably the first time I got the 99 life turtle bounce trick in Super Mari Bros. to work.  I think i was like 10.  Pure gaming bliss.

Console Games / The real power behind those Xbox 360 E3 demos
« on: May 21, 2005, 03:02:32 pm »
A pair of Apple Powermac G5 systems were actually running the Xbox 360 demos, not the 360 console. The consoles in the kiosks weren't actually running, they were just for show - now you know why all the controllers were wired.

Going to have to go with StarCraft on this one.  Reminded me of the time I was in Korea and played some of the local kids there.  !!!I was scary how fast I got crushed.  I got builder drone rushed and annihalated.  Great fun though.

Just picked it up a few days ago and am really enjoying it so far.  Like was said earlier, it's neat being able to meet up with friend and not have to worry about what shard/server they play on.  I go by Danzik Lux, feel free to say hi next time you're in game.
