New comic? (Internet culture reference)

Heres a very rough first draft of the new comic Mae and I are working on.



Its of course not all pretty yet (we have an artist for that) but besides that, what do you guys think?

Were having are first real meeting to get it the ball rolling today.

Kind of hard to read... but I think I made it all out pretty well. It's not bad at all, the joke is kind of used but it's presented well. Perhaps if in the second panel instead of him saying he should see it for himself, the accused could instead say "Er, which video, sir?" or "I don't know which video you speak of, sir.", followed by "THIS video, private!" or him wordlessly turning on the video. Having him say "You should see for yourself" implies that he hasn't already seen the video.

On the premise of the comic itself... am I correct in assuming that you're going to take normal situations and infuse them with an ICR (internet culture references)?

Thanks for the constructive feedback. And this wont be a "internet culture" Comic at all! This particular reference is only used as a device plot to get Sgt. Vanzin into a special army unit for later on in the story.

Oh hey, it's up. Yea, I have some hopes for this project, even if that comic is essentially completely out of context with our oh-so-intricate plot (things die!)
