Seasons are a suggestion now.

Fair point.

Here is a movie trailer:

<a href="" target="_blank"></a>

On paper, a cyberpunk Fahrenheit 451 starring Michael B. Jordan sounds great, but something about the directorial style in the trailer feels sorta generic? Like they're trying to hit the exact same tone/angst that other stock near-future dystopia cyberpunk movies have already hit? There's more than one way to do cyberpunk. The genre doesn't have to be a box.

It may just be the trailer, though! I'm hopeful.

They absolutely do!

Spore: General / Re: Best accident claim in UK

Hey, Spore might not have lived up to the hype but it wasn't that bad, man. Geeze.
It had a lot of fun aspects, the creature creator was an incredibly satisfying experience, it helped popularize enthusiasm and experimentation for procedural generation in video games, and I did enjoy getting to play it.

It's unfortunate the Maxis team didn't get to make Spore the way they truly wanted to make it. I really loved the vision they had for it. But they still put in a lot of great work toward that vision, and they're still responsible for some of my favorite games.

I hear there's a rave somewhere in Arizona where it's been running on a loop this whole time.
They unplugged the sound system sometime in 2011 but it's still going.
Burned the equipment in 2013 but the audio loop still hangs there like some sort of fixed cloud.

Sometime in the 1970s:

"Okay, so we're bringing back the Jetsons."
"And maybe we do it like the family's growing up a little. Like Judy's an adult with a job as reporter or Elroy's doing teenager stuff now."
"Oh, yeah, that'd be cool. Fans of the original show might really get a kick out of that."
"Okay? But our job is to do a Jetsons revival."

<a href="" target="_blank"></a>

And that's apparently pretty much how it happened, give or take a few details:

Good use of some really compact stanzas here. Adds to the overall poem in this case.

Okay so, Rysworld pointed the Chocolate Whopper last night:

Also Washington Post has a list of some of the other stuff happening:

Apparently 4 different companies made up fake cryptocurrencies as April Fools pranks. I'm going to go ahead and say at least three will be real and part of regular trading by May.

In my timezone it is still March, but I'm starting the thread early so we have a repository for the internet's jokes, japeries, shtick, clowning, pranks, and general all around comedy lies as we find them.

Show me the things. What April's are fooling this year?

That's good, but why did they switch to the Friends theme song at the end?

I also had that question and appreciate you mentioning it.

I forgot about this thread, thanks for bringing it back!

Thank you for posting in it! I was reading the old Gorillaz thread and a Krakow post from 2013 reminded me it existed.

Who wants a slow acoustic cover of the song that became the Six Flags song?

This is a neat poem! Also if you rearrange the first letter of each stanza as an acrostic, it spells Topibawmata, which sounds like a geographic location.

I appreciate when people post in this thread!
Poetry is a worthwhile endeavor!

The play mechanic seems really neat!

I agree with Ink though.
It seems like it wants to be stylized similar to a grade-school colored pencil drawing, which I can appreciate, but it falls into a new sort of uncanny valley in how the different elements match up.

That said, I try to give a chance to games that risk innovative gameplay, even if the graphics are a little wonky.

Thank you for posting it!

This isn't for the comic chain thread, but I realized I never put it on the forum.

It's our old friend Web Ghost!
