It sorta reminds me of the sandbox mode in Age of Empires. I used to love just faffing around making my own little stories.
The only thing that I'm a little worried about is once you have completed a mission are you going to feel like you have accomplished anything? Say you are battling it out through a fairly tough mission and halfway you think..whats the point. I'm not going to get anything at the end of it.
A reward system could be interesting, but the trouble is a lot of players will probably make very short missions just to get points or whatever you are rewarded with.

I suppose the challenge is to make missions that are engaging and interesting enough to keep the player coming back.

Pity there is no interaction at all...not even a wave or a zap.

The Hologram is weird. Ive tried contacting tribes people with it but nothing happens. Is this tool useless?

Im a bit dissapointed because I was hoping that you could beam down your race and have a creature phase like interface. But sadly It's just this slow fuzzy figure that does absolutely nothing.

Just a couple of things I was wondering about the Grox.

Ok so, does the Grox look the same for all users? Mine is a little red gremlin looking thing with mechanical bits.

Can we Get Grox body parts?

Has anyone managed to totally wipe them out? I know it would take ages but....

The thing is though I believe you should get to the center in one (story) sitting. Starting new sort of defeats the whole point whatching your planet change.

Hello thur!

Ive just been playing the game up to space and I have been aggressive all the way (on easy).
I seem to have gotten my self into a bit of a pickle though. Im struggling to earning any money and Im constanty being attacked after foolishly making alot of enemies early in this stage.
So is there a way I can start the space phase again?

You know Im sure Im doing something wrong with this spice stuff. Only earning 10.50 and hour....

Spore: General / Re: Sporepedia shadows...

It wouldn't be so bad if the cast shadow was just on the floor. The fact it hits a wall behind it it makes the creature less readable.
It doesnt really bother me though. I don't surf on Sporepedia enough to care :)

To be honest, I think the creature editor alone is a fantastic achievement.

People always want more...

Just discovered this... a little disappointing.

0x0000002f Colonies can't survive underwater. Try placing your colony on land.

I would presume that the bigger the creature, the fuzzier the colours and textures will be due to enlarging?

The Honey fungus is the largest organism on the planet. There is a particular one that has a huge underground network which stretches across 2,200 acres of land and is estimated to be 2,400 years old.

But I must say, as we have only explored 3% of the ocean it would not suprise me that there is something huge down there, whether it be animal, plant or whatever.
