There is a petition going on that will be sent to EA to let the Spore Creature Editor be released to the public sooner for beta testing.

To sign the petition, go here: http://www.petitiononline.com/SPORECEB/petition.html

Delay is a good thing - remember Half-Life 2?

No thanks. I hate it when EA rushes things. Battlefield was a good example.

Yeah, as tempting as it is, Nether, a year is a long time. Perhaps closer to the release date.

Lemme ask you something - When was the last time you heard of an online petition working?
I need a sig because the lack of one annoys me.

EA will do what makes it more money, regardless of any petition.

We had this thread before. General consensus was don't sign the petition because we don't want the editor.

Edit: found it.

Please can the newbies search before posting threads?

I don't know about you, but that sounded like a polite request to me.

And, unless I'm the only one who can see it, Aquaman made this thread to archive the forums. It clearly indicates that a poster should read it before creating a new topic.

There are some regulars who dont use the search features either, its not just 'newbies', even though i'd consider Nether a regular rather than a newb. Just worded oddly, can see why it might have sounded like a bit of a backhanded "damned n00b" remark, but it was polite though. Internet communication and injecting our own tones and whatnot.

Though to be fair, the "please read this before you make a new thread", though neatly organised, still requires a bit of sifting through. To expect someone to read through that every time before they make a new thread is a bit too much. If we were to go by that, all 5 of those threads for the VGcats comic could be considered valid, seeing as it wasnt listed in there. No big deal no matter how you look at it, just a tiny misinterpretation of tone. Oooh chocolate.

No offence to NetherFlare, but her first 2 weeks here just ended, and I consider that new. Unless she was a damned, dirty lurker before that! ;)

a petition will be ignored or deflected with cries of: it'll be ready when it's ready
