Title: Voting Game Deluxe Edition
Post by: Daxx on April 15, 2006, 02:04:58 pm
The psychologists among you should do better at this.
By the way, you can pick the same option as someone else if you really want to (or if there are none left). Just pick 5 and post 1. The lowest number of votes for a particular option wins.

To start the ball rolling, I'm picking Option 9.

Guys, you do realise if you vote for your own number you're more likely to lose, right? The number with the fewest votes wins.

I thought you needed to vote for the number you chose... you never sadi that you could chose a different number.

You win if your option has the fewest votes at the end of the week.

I guess I just assumed that this implies that you shouldn't vote for your own number. My bad. You can change your votes, I think.

You can vote for any numbers u want and say u voted for another completely different number u actuallydidnt vote for... right?

Basically, the implied strategy is that you pick something and vote for 5 other things. That way, you're not adding to your option's total of votes. You don't have to (and probably shouldn't) vote for the same number that you post in the thread.

So, the number you say you're voting for is more like the number you want to win. Not one you're voting for in the poll.

Yes. You win if the number you post in the thread has the lowest votes. So you really don't want to vote for it yourself.

Man, I should have been more clear when we started this. Lucky I left the option to change your votes.

Hee hee, yeah, only this time you've got to subvert it. Wonderful stuff.

Edit: "Voting Game Lite" to come after this one's finished. Should be easier to understand.
