TV / Weeds

Anyone been watching Weeds?
I love the way the story is told and the setting that its in, and the fact that a tv series about selling pot can be shown on prime time TV proves that the world is changing its views on this misunderstood culture.

Batman to kick al-Qaeda's ass
17 February 2006

Batman may utilise his extensive knowledge of caves to fight his latest foe - al-Qaeda.

Batman writer, Frank Miller, has told a comic-book convention that his upcoming novel, Holy Terror, Batman! is a piece of propaganda.

"Batman kicks al-Qaeda's ass," Miller said.

Miller said the comic was: "an explosion from my gut reaction of what's happening now" and "a reminder to people who seem to have forgotten who we're up against."

"It just seems silly to chase around the Riddler when you've got al-Qaeda out there."

His comments were posted on the internet by the entertainment site

In the comic, Batman's hometown of Gotham City is attacked by terrorists, and the Caped Crusader sets out to settle the score.

There is no scheduled publication date for the unfinished project.

This is some funny ****, I couldnt stop laughing after reading this. Brillant!

Site News / GamingSteve on Slashdot

Slashdot has an entry on Steves article about MMORPG in China

To be honest, I'm glad this is happening.
Heres my rant on how I feel, I kinda need to let this out -

Dont get me wrong, I think Spore will be a great huge game and I will buy a copy and play it to death.
But I'm so over all the speculation and pre-hype, I havent even looked at a thread in this board for a LONG time, it just doesnt interest me, its kinda lame and I'm sick of hearing about "will it do this, will it do that", I'm sure you know what I mean.

Hopefully this forum can get back to what it should be about - video games, not just one game which is coming out next year sometime, and not forum games, as I see that they are taking over the forums even more so than the Spore thread. I enjoy the forum games, but I have been playing them less and less.
I know that there are plenty of other active threads about other games, and thats what I enjoy reading and taking part in. So keep it up :)

I know what sort of responses I'm going to get here, but I would rather not list them for you. So please flame away at the latest Spore forum troll - Me :o
