The Sims 2 Holiday Party Pack
« on: October 15, 2005, 05:06:04 pm »
Are you going to buy The Sims 2 Holiday Party Pack, I think I am. You have to buy it off http://eastore.ea.com/index.jsp

It is $15 and it lets your sims have Christmas, etc.

More specifically, it's here: http://eastore.ea.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=1236&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=0&iSubCat=0&iSubSubCat=0&iProductID=1236&AS=1

I don't know why they have to ship it to you, can't they just let you download it?

Man EA really milks The Sims for everything...

Wasn't Christmas free in the first game?

Sort Of. There wasn't a set day. You could just buy a tree and a plate of cookies and Santa would come down the chimney and give you a present.

I have neverheard of Spore until I registered to this web-site. I think Sims 2 will still be better.

....

You are kidding right?

RIGHT!?

I will admit, The Sims 2 was okay, but after The Sims... it wasnt as novel.

Spore will be awesome. Well... it will either get perfect 10s all around or get 0.1s all around.

Do you even know about Spore? It's a simulation game that takes you through every step of organism development from one cell through evolution through cities through intergalactic conquest. It's been nicknamed "Sim Everything" and "Universe in a box."

It won four out of 6 (I think) prizes for being an awesome game at the GDC 2005 demo.

It is the most open-ended game I have ever heard of, and I can barely fathom a game more open-ended.

You can blow a planet up.

You can create a creature that is yours. This isn't just slapping 2 animals together and saying, "I want a tigers head and a hippo's body." This is putting eyes on the face, fins on the body, mouths, brains, wings...

It will upload other players' creatures to populate your ecosystem.

It will upload other players' planets to populate your galaxy.

Are those enough reasons?
