Yeah, since the Old Gods expansion there has been the Tribal government type, which can upgrade to a feudal kingdom or a merchant republic through a special decision.

Tribal governments are pretty interesting. They don't get any levies, even from vassals and have to call their vassals into wars as allies. The only holding type they can build is a temple or a special "tribal" holding representing tribal lands. The tribal holding produces more troops and gold the more empty holding slots there are in the province, and when the government upgrades the tribal holding turns into either a castle or a city.

Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

Last year I ordered something you're gonna like, Lego. It should finally be here in a month or so.

It showed up yesterday at my Dad's place. Headed back this morning to pick it up!

These bad boys are now all mine!! :D

What nation? Ship?

I tended for the small ship so I could have a perma crew, just board enemy ships asap to compensate the artillery difference.
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

I usually go Dutch, since they have the smallest presence. 95% of everything can be raided and they love you for it.

I also tend to go with bigger ships because I focus a lot on capturing cities and like to have numerical crew superiority vs top ten pirates.

I also go for the big ships. Usually cut a path straight for SotL and try to stack up as many perks as I can. Then the destruction begins.

I've been stuck with a War Galleon for like 6 years because, every time I try to take on one of the better ships, they beeline for me and wipe the floor with me in swordplay.

(as far as I know, nobody but top ten pirates have anything better than a war galleon in combat terms)

Because of my broke-ness and low-tier computer I tend to play games like, seven years after they come out. Really enjoying Fallout: New Vegas and Mass Effect so far, although I've barely done anything in New Vegas yet. The setting and feel is really appealing though.
