AI is much better than arma 1 or ofp if i lay down in the grass i'm alot less likely to be seen and shot, if i take one or two shots the AI will shoot at me but most of the time it'll just be supressing fire if i am hidden. I mean if you are engaged IRL you usually get a good idea of where the incoming fire is from so you would tend to lay down fire in that direction. (Maybe the one that irritates me is the lack of use of screening smoke by the AI) Unless i do somthing monumentally stupid like lay down on a runway or road with no cover i tend not to be sniped by an AI "at a klick, at night, hidden in bushes, with a pistol." I think the game pushes realism too far in some places and not enough in others. But having said that it's a powerful game and rather enjoyable.

Oh and headbob and post processing canbe turned off!

No if you want a simulator play arma 2. I have yet to play americas army new version but i'm sure i'll be suitably underwhemled. Having said that, i was a bridge fag.

maybe you can just copy over the contents of your creature creator folder into a creature folder of some sort in the spore install directory seeing as they're both on your own computer it'd be much faster then downloading it i presume

love the video hydro! very niiiice.

On another note I'm gonna attempt a style of play which i call "playing as Darwin" at some oint where i only allow my creature/cell to evolve based on the threats and environment it's in. So for example if my cell is continually attacked bu predators from behind (and yes that means trying to remember from which side you're most often attacked.) it will develop spikes there or should it be more evolved and runs into a similar problem it will develop faster means of propulsion. In creature it will react to things like "is the ground sandy" if so then the size of the foot needs to increase and an appropriate foot should be chosen (as in no sucker feet in sand due to the ecological nightmare that it may cause) and things like this. I do believe i will do that style of play more than a few times :)

hm my spore now says 2 days and 3 hours until it is unlocked...... It was 1 day before. Conspiracy? you decide?!

i'm down london today i'll have a check at a few of the stores but am not likely to obtain it those in london are notorious for being very very strict with the embargos

If you find anywhere, let me know. I live in the midlands, heh, so although I can't go to London, I can at  least have hope the guys up here will release early ;)

to be quite frank you've got a much better chance than me at finding it what with being out in the sticks ;) the shame is if i don't get it today or tomorrow i don't get it for twoish weeks due to being back to work in rurual suffolk without internet!
