I think the Omic are still around somewhat. You need to ask Alwayswatching. Otherwise I won't take it down.

I'm not asking you to take it down, I'm just wondering.

Which species are Thulithotle and Vexarion? No idea how active those are.

Anyways, I was thinking earlier maybe sector H3 since that area is relatively unclaimed, but can't quite make up my mind between H3, H4 and I4.

Meh, how about the upper part of sector I4, there is plenty of room in the region surrounding I4. Not that the Q'nu Coa are going to be expansionist.

Edit:  I checked and the Vexarions don't seem to have been active for over a year and I can't find anything on Thulithotle. Is it safe to assume that whoever was on Thulithotle is now extinct?

Edit2: Found the creature thread for Thulithotle (which look pretty cool actually), but no idea about RP activity.

[/s]
Edit: Meh, how about the middle of F3, theres probably a thousand stars in that sector alone, and a whole lot of close by habitable planets.

Gorrillans sector E5 closest to the core.

Gec, is it possible to rename the "Terran-Ixian" marker into "Orealyianis" and move it to the upper-right corner of 6-E? If so, thanks a bunch! :)

No. Just no. That is the territory of incredibly powerful races. There is no way that an undiscovered species will show up in the galactic core.
....Right?

If an older race tells me that I will accept it.

The core is a supermassive black hole surrounded by unstable stars, antimatter and lots of other dangerous stuff. Life wouldn't last two seconds there.

The general consensus on the old map page was that the older races would be found on the outer limits of the galaxy, seeing as they were the first to escape the massive doses of radiation that made the center of the galaxy unsuitable for life. As the galaxy expanded, or whatever happened, the newer races would start to appear closer and closer to the center of the galaxy as it unfolded, or as the chances of life surviving these harsh conditions became better and better (as time went on). So while it makes sense that Badger would place his species closer to the center of the galaxy, placing them at the center of the galaxy does not make sense. However, if he wishes to place them there, then he may. It is not up to us to tell him where to place them.

Just an idea, maybe we can mark the systems in a way to designate which ones are the older races and which ones are NG and RG?

It would probably help in figuring out which ones are no longer around (ascended or otherwise) and are maybe inactive. That way it could be possible to put a RG race among the ruins of the ancient empires while never actually contacting them. Running into ruins would still be possible.

I'm in no way trying to wipe anybody off the map, I just had a thought which would make things somewhat clearer as far as RPing.

Older races are white, RG races are red, and NG races are green. How's that? Oh, and inactive races have a white outline and are hollow.

OG [Old Galaxy] and RG [Reborn Galaxy] are the same.

NG [New Galaxy] is an entirely new galaxy so it has it's own map.

OG was the first galaxy. That died. We then started NG which was a clean slate. Then that died a lot sooner than expected. People wanted to go back to the OG so they started to call it RG. The galaxy wasn't literally reborn Ok. It was just given new activity.
