Three thoughts:

1. [geek] What the heck happened to Shaak Ti's horns? [/geek]
2. It's a movie? I thought it was just another series of shows... I am suprised... We'll see if I can add a happily to it once I watch it.
3. Yoda looks creepy... <.< >.>

To clear some things up..

1.  This is based off the Clone Wars shorts, but it takes place inbetween the first and second volumes, and since they didn't really have too much of a story, you don't need to have seen either of them to make since.  This is a completely seperate thing, but done in a similar style (but in 3D)

2.  There will be a new Clone Wars TV show, that will be in this same 3D style, but unlike the old 2D shorts, will be full length episodes, featuring the same variety of characters.  Supposedly, it'll focus more on the actual Clones though, to give them a more human side.  This movie is supposed to launch the story for that show.

They're giving it a more 'human' side by focusing the action on Mandalorian clones that have been brainwashed and conditioned to be soldiers. Makes perfect sense.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

I'm going to see it this weekend, allthough I'm not particularly excited about it. I'm mostly going for the hope that more than one of my favorite characters will make an appearance, hopefuly significant. So far, I've seen;

1. General Grievous and his droids (of course)
2. Kit Fisto
3. Plo Koon (Might they finally have polysyllabic lines?)

I'm crossing my fingers for Durge, since Asajj and Grievous are present, but I doubt it. :(

The most I'm going to do is wait till it appears on dvd, I don't think it's worth my time going to see this in theaters :P

I don't hate it or anything, but I'd rather wait and rent before I get my bucks worth of Star Wars.
I'm going to have to do the same thing with Wall-E :'(
Kid: Oh wow I'm being deflowered by a grown woman!
Mother: By the way I'm your mother
Kid: OH GOD NO

EDIT: That's where it becomes rape if you were wondering.

basicaly what little hope I did have that this might be anywhere near the quality of the Star wars animated shorts went down the drain when i heard the movies features a padawan of Anikan who is a teenage girl in a tube top who says things like calling R2-D2 "Artooie".

Remember that point when Jar Jar made Star wars dead to you that's this entire movie yes I've gone from cautious optimisim to flat out "God damn you George Lucas."

*raises eyebrow*

If you're going to nickname R2-D2, at least call him something mildly derogatory, like how Chewie was the walking carpet. Maybe the beeping little trash compactor?

Secondly, I'm hoping this doesn't ruin what little reputation Togruta have among the fans (Shaak Ti's race, btw.)

Thirdly, if she becomes a main character and carries over to the series, teenage girl as ever, I may just develop a distaste of "modern" Star Wars and go back to reading the Thrawn trillogy and the Yuuzhan Vong series. Ah, good times...

That second one was two movies ago.
Not a winner anymore.
