I was expecting a few more surprises. Oh well.

At least they now have a viable answer to voice chat. I don't mind not having a headset. And Animal Crossing looks like a must buy for me since I never bought any of their previous games. And other than Wii Sports Resort I hope we see some really good games come from Motion Plus. I was also hoping they'd say what the Zelda team was working on but they're still pretty hush about their bigger surprises.

I thought it was a very good conference. The segments where Iwata was discussing the state of the industry and where Reggie was going over sales trends were my favorites. I think Wii Music is going to be a big seller, it looks absolutely fantastic and will really hit with the family market. Animal Crossing looks good, although I'm not going to hold my breath on it. Wii Motion Plus seems to be a winner, although I'm not sold on Wii Sports Resort. The third parties are doing a decent job and should have a good year.

They'll be rolling out their second tier franchises this year and it looks solid. We'll probably see another top tear franchise at E3 2010, more than likely along with a new handheld.

Perhaps something good will surface in another games show.

They seem to be focusing on the multiplayer here, which wouldn't be a bad thing..  but is there anything to do with friends when they visit your village now?  I did that once, with the DS version.  We ran around a bit, before just stopping and asking, what now?  They really need to add in activities or mini games or something you can do with other people.  Fishing in AC, even with a few friends isn't as exciting as they made out.
I don't think they're focusing on multiplayer.  I think they just plugged in simple co-op.  AC is a sandbox game, play at your own pace, running in real time.  Not many challenges.  The microphone on your TV looks like a bad idea.  Everyone would sound like they're across the room on a speaker phone.

That was disappointment, here are my thoughts

The Bad:
Wii Motion Plus - Wii Mote = $40, Nun-chuck =$20, Wii Motion plus = ??, How expensive will the controller get? If it's more then $5 I'll probably pass.

Except for the fact that its an accessory, it looks like something that it should have had from the beginning.  Instead of playing games just by using flicks of your wrist, you know have the ability to use entire arm movements, thus giving the ability to sword fight for real, something that the current wiimote can't handle.  Bushido Blade for the wii.  Die By the Sword for the Wii.

R.A.D. for the Wii, using the balance board for movement?  Wii mote for arm movements?  A VR headset that uses the same motion tracking, and dual screens for a display?   It's baby steps, but Nintendo is in a position to offer VR to the masses soon.  It's long overdue.

Little Big Planet can do some impressive stuff, I'm still skeptical if normal people will be able to do that stuff though. Resistance 2 looks... okay.

Is this one running long or is it just boring?

There are too many videos and not enough discussion!

And that MAG, but we know nothing of it due to Sony's "no gameplay in cinematics" policy.

Man that was long here are my thoughts on Sony's press conference

The Good:
MAG - 256 players, one world, this game could be huge if they pull it off
LBP - it's cute, and I liked how they fit it in to the presentation
PSN - They look to have some good games, even a survival horror game
Video Downloads - they are starting to catch up to MS, but you can even buy movies, which you can't do on XBL
Downloading video's straight to Youtube - so far it's only a baseball game but I would like to see these feature more.
Infamous - looking like a better Crackdown

The Bad
Jack Trenton's fake tan -  :-X
The "new" 80gig with all the features of the 40gig - does that mean it won't have BC?
DC universe - so will i be playing with 20 Batmans and 35 Supermans?
GT TV - why do you need GT for this? Couldn't they just put all this stuff their new PSN Video channel?

The Ugly
Holy crap this thing was way to long, they could have cut some stuff out and made it shorter.
Resistance 2 demo - I was excited for this game but the boss fight was all kinds of lame. It looked like the boss was waiting for you to hit all the trigger points, there seemed to be no real danger or sense of urgency, and the Boss creature should have just squished our hero very early on.

Final Thoughts - Sony started off good but they just kept going and going, and didn't fill that time with a bunch of new information. Grade: C+

I'd actually probably be pretty excited about DC Online
..If it weren't for the fact Champions Online just looks 20x better.
