It annoys me that they punish fans who've waited for years and were so stupid to buy on the first day. And now have to dish out 20$ if they really want it.

Welcome to the world of technology. Prices change rapidly for hardware and softwares-- almost always in the downward direction. These kinds of price drops (in addition to bugs) are commonly recognized risks of the early adopter.

There's almost always going to be something better and cheaper in the future.  Get used to it.

I'm not surprised, this sort of thing happens all the time. Just look at what Blizzard announced for StarCraft 2 which is a similar episode (not quite the same though).

Starcraft II better not be fifty dollars if it's going to be 1/3 of a game. 35 or 40 sounds reasonable if it's as good as they say it is.

If they would lower the price of the full game to 30$, (as it happens with every product sooner or later), they would also "punish the fans" for buying it earlier?
Because that's it. A price drop, if you get other product.
Of course all of us knew that later Spore will cost less, there were even people who said that they will wit for price drops. We decided to pay for the full game, because it worth the extra money to play with it on the first days.

When I went to the computer store about a month ago I asked how much my new computer would cost, they said 470€, I had to go on vacation for 2 weeks and 15 days ago when I went there to buy it the price had dropped 70€ overall because the RAM price had gone down, the graphics card price had gone down and so on. In 2 weeks, it dropped 70€, see what happened there?

A game does not drop €70 in 2 weeks. Especially not an EA game. (Expansions still cost more or less the same as when they came out.)

Yes, but a game is not released at 470€, if it dropped as fast as hardware it would have been 7,4€ cheaper after 2 weeks though.

They're not punishing anybody.  They don't owe you anything other than what you paid $50 for.  This is a bad move on their part, yes, but remember that this is just what they're doing in Germany.  What are Germany's Spore sales like?

And it's just a bunch of extra graphics that are overpriced.  If it were a full and true EP then I'd be mad (If the deal was in the U.S.)  As it is, I'm just mildly annoyed but that's in equal part to people whining again about a bunch of extra stuff they don't need.

The Cute and Creepy Parts Pack better be free for purchase with the Extended Space Phase Expansion Pack as well!

While I agree that this probably isn't as shocking as it should be, it's still a pretty nasty thing to do.. I don't like this at all, but since I wasn't planning on getting the Cute and Creepy Parts Pack anyway, I can't say I'm immensely bothered by it. The Extended Space Phase however is something I am interested in (although the details on that aren't really clear yet).. My above suggestion isn't going to happen, because EA wants to pump us dry as much as possible and unfortunately many of us are probably going to fall for it as well..

On top of the DRM, we now get this crap.. Great!

I think this deal is an incentive for people who didn't get Spore. People who did would generally buy it.

This isn't an unusual business practice guys. A lot of other companies do this. It isn't for you, it's for attracting new users.
