Storytelling and Roleplaying / SAVAGED BY BEASTS
« on: September 16, 2009, 05:41:22 pm »

Ahh, you breathe in the delightful air of nature. Your name is Eirik Vold, you grew up in the frozen northlands and moved to the south to live a warmer, more comfortable life. You're a stout, strong and capable man who could probably take on several wolves and live to tell of it.

You've come to a clearing. To the south is a way to unknown lands and to the east is a river, to the north there are many berry-bushes that are quite delicious.

Being a stallion of a man, you build yourself a shelter and construct a small farm in two days. You can now eat anytime you want, being so cool and tough.

Well, you could do whatever you want at this point. You could just give maximum care about making a nice little house and have a nice little farm and instead go wrestle bears or smash ladies violently in their throats. You have discovered that to the south lies a small town, you could perhaps hunt animals and sell them for monies, you could pretty much check out the town and see what it offers, mabby you could buy some slaves, some cool armor, guards, who knows.

^Thread music theme.^

This is you.

You are a man who has just been graduated from university and now have taken on the world, you have a lovely wife, three loving children and a dog, also you live in a mansion. You have discovered a great deal of things that will help science discover new things that will help humanity to live a better quality of life, every man with a three digit iq knows who you are and believes you are a great person destined to do great things.

Alas, only recently you were in a car collision and suffered massive damage to your brain.

You are currently in a wheelchair, restrained. WHO KNOWS WHAT ADVENTURE YOU WILL ENJOY.

Here, is a flight of stairs.

This is your humble abode.

'Tis a dark midsummer night and for some reason,

You decide to wake from your "eternal" slumber.

You remember not who you are, or who your mother is, and you do not have a clue about the contents of your castle.

Firstly, you may wish to give yourself a snappy name, considering you do not have one.

And what will you do? My advice is try to find a library to study your surroundings and understand what exists around your home.

Or you could just run through your castle gate completely naked and terrorize the closest village.

Also, LoL.

PC Games / Arma 2
« on: June 09, 2009, 03:38:47 pm »
So, yeah. Armed Assault(Arma, go figure.) 1 was pretty sad game, now Arma 2 is out.

Arma 1 showed a lot of promise, and it did have a lot of potential, but it's not exactly a smooth game in the sense that it is playable, some of the missions require you to have the iq of all people combined, or an incredible amount of luck, like me. I made it through a lot of the missions that I now simply cannot do.

I wonder if Arma 2 is better, though it would be hard to do worse than Arma 1.

Anyone getting it?

I am.

Here's the official website.

Looks like the shakycam could get you sick.

Well, I am optimistic about this game, because it's been quite some time since I've cared about a new game coming out.

Everything Else / Ethics and Morals
« on: April 29, 2009, 02:58:08 pm »
For some reason the internet has turned me into a very cynical, unethical and bitter bastard, and I was wondering if it may be because I've come to realise that ethics, morals and such things formed by society are in fact pointless.

I guess it is a very nihilistic way of viewing it, but I just can't seem to care for other people's feelings, if I see someone get hurt badly on the news, on the web or even in real life right next to me, I just cannot seem to spark any sort of emotion or feelings at all or feel sorry for the individual who is hurt.

I am pretty sure something isn't right. I was not like this when I was a kid, if a friend was hurt I would try to comfort them, and almost feel hurt myself seeing someone in pain. Now? I'm comfortably numb. I cannot say for certain that the internet is to blame though, because I have no evidence to prove or disprove this.

It's just that I don't get the point any more why I should care at all if something bad happens to someone or if I make someone feel hurt because I say something or act like a real *******. I mean, do people act so kind and nice towards others simply because then the people they have helped will help them if they are in a sticky situation or feel sad? I've gone through enough **** in my time so that I no longer really care what happens to me, whether I get hurt really badly; so what? I'll recover. I guess if I actually lose a limb I'd think quite differently, but I haven't, have I.

I guess I would only have to make up some reason to care for what happens around me to people, but I can't.

One thing also, I'm very tall, I have the darkest voice in history, and I always look pissed off, this seems to make people think I am always angry or mad at them, my mother especially has taken to notice this, always bothering me asking if something's wrong because I look so angry.

I'm not angry.

I'm pretty fly with a lot of people in my school (it's a small school, some 200 people there) for some reason, I guess it's because I'm witty. I'm entertainment.

Jeez. I spend 90% of my time in my room, only emerging from my cave when I need food or to take a piss.

But I digress (a lot), I was actually going to talk about whether ethics and morals matter at all, I guess you have to make up your own reason to make things matter, like I said (I think). People only need to have morals to make a living in society, I think.

What do you think, ethics matter?

I'm sure I'll regret making this thread tomorrow.

Storytelling and Roleplaying / FLY

You are a fly.

Your function in life is to spread pestilence and disease, in fact, you are currently the carrier of a ... deadly virus.

Your task is to spread this disease and kill or harm or affect as many two-legged people as possible. But of course, you may choose to do something else.

So, where will you fly?

Spore: Creation Corner / The Parc
« on: February 16, 2009, 08:13:09 pm »
I bring you, the Parc.

Here is an illustration of what a male and female Parc creature looks like.

Every Parc is born with wings, which they cannot use, because they do not have any usable muscles in the wings, they just are there. They also have an almost infinite supply of snot, as clearly shown at the tip of the Parc's nose standing in the middle of the picture. There are debates on how the Parc produce their snot, but some researchers have observed Parc communities and groups consume their own, and other's snot. It is perhaps stored in the stomach of the Parc, and then ejected through the nostril, rinse, repeat.
There are other theories, for example that they produce snot in the same way that other creatures sweat.
The snot is considered a male Parc's manhood, the more you snot, the more prestige you have as a male. The leader of the Parc is appointed through a snot competition, where the male Parc who manages to fill five pints of snot, and then consume it, wins.

A Parc lives out his/her life for 25 human years.
When a Parc has lived for around 20 to 25(or more, but that is very rare), the Parc has a seizure, and experiences violent spasms. After two days explosive diarrhea and throwing up, the Parc dies from asphyxia(there are some rare cases where the Parc manages to twitch around so much as to drown in his/her own feces, but this is very rare.

This is the Parc's homeworld, Parcea. Lacking any technology to traverse the universe, the Parc have been on their planet forever. The planet surface is very sticky (possibly due to the amount of snot produced.). there was pure water before the Parc evolved into what they are now, but over time as they existed, the water on Parcea turned into snot itself. Currency on Parcea is water, which is very rare to find.

is the god of the Parc.
He is the divine entity, who the Parc worship nonstop. There is only one religion on Parcea, and that is this deity. His name is Parcsus. Legend has it that long ago, a Parc was born, this Parc was different from all the other Parc. He did not produce any snot. Since this was the only special thing about him, all the other Parc worshipped him with overzealousness, and wiped out all the other species on the planet who did not give up their own religion in service of Parcsus.
In fact, all the other species on Parcea were very intelligent, they were near reaching the space age. but the constant snotting by the Parc race ensured that they all perished.
The parc do not need to drink water to live, they get nutrition from their snot, and other bodily fluids.

Storytelling and Roleplaying / -Life Metagame- Elementary School, Dear Lego
« on: September 03, 2008, 12:48:11 pm »
Wohooo! i made a new metagame because i am so silly. this time you're deciding how a kid lives through his life from elementary school onwards.

you'll decide what kinda person this kid turns out to be, a really smart kid, a fat kid that noone likes, a bully, a nerd, a lazy twit, a casanova, you name it.

hopefully well get so far as to reach his first job.

anyway. woohoo start.

you're a normal kid living in a normal family with a normal house with a normal tree in the yard, and today is your first day of school.

you'll play this kid's thoughts and decide what he'll do through school.

after a short walk from your house, you reach school. you meet other kids that you will most likely get to know, the teacher is a unicorns and rainbows type of person and seems to smile as much as possible. the teacher tells everyone in class to sit down in a ring and tell their names.
you don't really pay attention to their names because you forget them as you hear the next person's name.
then it's your turn.

So, what is your name??

i guess i'll have a stats menu like intelligence and strength, agility, etc etc, but that comes after you choose a name, could be anything really, but you'll probably be considered weird if you call yourself Ach' Ulg Thar or something.

Everything Else / So i bought an electric guitar...
« on: July 16, 2008, 09:22:26 am »
and now i have no idea how to connect to my computer.

i got this cable that i suppose is meant for an amplifier, but i got this cable head thingy that i put on the amplifier cable so that i could stick the cable from the guitar directly to the computer's mic or line-in thing.

sadly, it wasn't that simple.

as i strum my guitar nothing but the metal sound of the guitar itself came.

can anyone help me?

ask specific questions and i will answer them.
