It is a hardcore survival game where you start out as a baby! It is similar to Don't Starve or Haven and Hearth.

Everything Else / Deaths and Near Deaths
« on: April 19, 2017, 01:30:38 pm »
I tried to find a topic for this but I did not see one. So here goes ...

My mom died on April 14th 2017 at 7:49 pm PST. She was in the hospital with pneumonia since March 27th. My dad, sister and I took turns staying with her until the very end. I cannot stop crying. :(

Also my motherboard died 2 weeks ago and I had to basically get a new computer. While my hard drives were fine I have to move stuff all back again to the new C drive and I am not in the best mental state to be doing computer stuff.

The funeral will be on Thursday March 20th at 11 am. My heart hurts so much I feel like I am going to die. :'(

PC Games / Lethis - Path of Progress

Lethis - Path of Progress is a Victorian Steampunk city builder game. It is very cute and quirky. I have been happy with it so far. It plays like the old city builders like Civ City Rome. So I am commending this game. Its on sale on steam for 50% off during the 2016 winter sale if you want to get it. Has anyone else played it?

PC Games / City Builders through the Ages
« on: December 02, 2016, 12:56:59 am »
There are many city builder games however I have not seen one that continues through the ages. If I were to assemble a bunch of City Builders and play them back to back as if they were one big game which games would you choose?

Here is my brainstorming so far ...

Prehistoric
?

Ancient
Pharaoh

Classical Era
Caesar or CivCity Rome or Marble Age

Medieval
Banished or Stronghold

Colonial
Anno 1404 (or other early ones)

Industrial
Clockwork Empires or Lethis or 1849

Modern Era
Sim City or Cities Skylines or Tropico

Near Future
Cities of Tomorrow or Anno 2070

Far Future
Anno 2205 or Planet Base or Outpost

Blue = Games I Have

Note I do not have all these games but just looking for games that would fit.

Also I have seem different eras done using SC4 such as a Roman, Medieval and Wild West Cities.

PC Games / Forge of Empires

Forge of Empires is a typical Browser game. Its basically like Sim City mixed with Civilization, some Age of Empires and made like Farmville. Just wondered if anyone else had played it and if they wanted to be friends for their tavern feature. Honestly its not that bad of a game. Its free (unless you purchase gems) and you don't seem to need to have Facebook either.

I hear they have guilds too. Perhaps we could make our own Gaming Steve Guild.

Storytelling and Roleplaying / [D&D 3.5] - Leadership
« on: November 13, 2016, 05:31:38 pm »
I know a bunch of you play D&D and have even been DMs. Could you guys explain about how players can become a leader and run their own place? Specifically areas like Leadership feat and related classes like a "Marshal". Also about Followers, Cohorts and Hirelings. I have been researching myself through books such as the Stonghold Builder and the DMG II where they talk about followers.

In short I am looking more for first hand experience from either DMs who have had players do their in their games or players who have become leaders and/or have own their own bases. Thanks in advance!

Movies / Turbo Kid

Has anyone seen Turbo Kid? Saw it yesterday and while cheesy I liked it. The basic set up is it is the year 1997 and there was an apocalypse in the 80's. And you follow a kid trying to survive who like the comic book "Turbo Kid". Overall I think its overly bloody, but I think its ment to be that way. Before I watched it I listed to the soundtrack, which is really good. So get your NES power gloves ready and craft your "gnomesticks" because its a rad movie. 8)

PC Games / RimWorld

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=866pKJDoHj4

I was suprised not to see a topic on th forum yet for this game. I am rather late to the game since it s been in development for years now. I recently got the game and have been addicted to it. For those who don't know its like DF in space and looks a lot like Prison Architect. Has a similar feel to Starbound but is "top-down" instead of "side-scroller".

Anyone else play this too?
