Books / Wheel of Time series: What do you think?
« on: January 30, 2006, 10:06:03 am »
So guys and galls,

A quick search on the forums didn't give me too much hits on this topic so:

What do you think of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series?

My own opinion (and I am only up to book 4 or so) is that it has some great highlights, cool setting and some cool characters and "races" (the word race isn't really applicable here I know) but that it has it's serious flaws as well. I do enjoy it though.

As all you MK:DS fans might know. Later in the game it's possible to unlock all the karts for all the characters.

In the character/kart selection screen it nicely shows you the karts stats. Does the character choice have any influence at all on the kart statistics???

It sure looks like it doesn't but what do you guys think?

Books / Which Pratchett first?

As a sucker for Geek novels I absolutely have to read some Pratchett books. What I am not sure about is wheither I would have to read them chronologically (written) or in another order. All you Pratchett-a-holics help me!

« on: January 23, 2006, 01:15:02 am »
Everybody who wants to join the European Mario Kart: DS thread needs to sign up down here with his name and friend code.

I will follow this thread for a week and I will edit this openingpost with a list of signed up players. When the week is over (next Monday), we will have a final list of competitors which will be matched up by Oviraptor (according to LadyM ;)). When everybody is matched up we can agree to some dates and times.

This tournament isn't exclusive to Europeans, everybody can join but the races will be held at European times. If anybody could start and American Sign-up thread it would be greatly appreciated.

Portable Games / Meteos, am I the only one!?!?
« on: January 10, 2006, 11:14:38 am »
So when doing a search through the GS-Forums I noticed that Meteos is a little low on topics.

So I was wondering... Am I the only one who is incredibly addicted to it?

Maybe we could start a highscore topic. Not that I would have great scores because I only started playing last week.

What does Steve think of the game by the way? He mentioned Lumines on his top 10 of last year which I thought was kind of strange because I really think Meteos is the superior game of the two (NO PSP<->DS TROLLING PLS ;)).
