So can anybody help me with something?
« on: November 15, 2008, 09:36:16 am »
My dad wants to get this song:

http://www.boosey.com/pages/cr/composer/sample_detail.asp?sampleid=10653

Preferably in mp3 format onto his computer, so he can play it during the church service being lead by the youth on sunday. So is there anyone out there tech savvy enough to help me with this?

Well, first, set your recording preference to "stereo mix".  Then, once it starts, press record in any recording software.  Stop when it is done. Save the file as anything.  If mp3 is supported, do that. If it is not, download Audacity(because it is the easiest I've found) and then download LAME MP3 encoder.  Once you download it, run Audacity, locate the file, import it into Audacity, then select import as MP3.  There are on-screen prompts from there.  trust me, I've done this before.

Just for good measure, listen to SmileyMan's recording to check for errors. *ahem*

SmileyMan sometimes likes to play. ;D

Most likely it's OK, but it doesn't hurt to play it through first.

I would play it backwards as well...just to be safe.

Ok, like if anyone actually understands something played backwards or even bothers to play it that way. ::)

Okay, got the mp3, and it's, y'know, not a rickroll. Although the lyrics say "Hail Satan, may he devour our newborn children and our elderly" over and over again if you play it backwards. Thank you, SmileyMan!
