The Necrons will be the most over powered race in the game,their units can't die..their monoliths destroy everything

Knights. Knights are like babby titans more than anything. They're about half the size of the Warhound, which is the smallest class of Titan.

But yeah, given that the last two games had Chaos and Nids as the base game campaign villain respectively (and one of the DoW2 multiplayer modes recently got an update with a Necron Overlord character) it is a very good bet it will indeed be Necrons. I guess there's a miniscule chance it will be Deldar but nah.

I like base building in RTS games. Though few do it well. Or even OK. But is one of the aspects I want to have in my game.

as for Dawn of War 3. No idea how that will turn out.

i have nothing against base building,but I do despise age of empires styled resource gathering,it just becomes so tedious

It is not a style for everyone. A lot of Age of Empires players prefer having to balance the economy however. Quite a bit of depth there where you also have to look out for what the opponent is collecting so you know what might be coming.

On that note has anyone played Act of Aggression? They made a reboot on the resource system going from a 3 to single resource system (not including power.) If so do you prefer the old way or the new way? Personally I am undecided.

I loved base building until CoH showed up and had a completely different take on the RTS and I thought it was far and away better.
