all I remember is you could play songs on the instruments and annoy your adventuring buddies by pretending to be a bard. I hope they added more songs.

there's also a new 1 drop legendary murloc that's a 1/3 and lets you select a new hero power out of 3 randomly chosen

nothing too amazing shown for cards, that golden monkey legendary is quite a let down. but hey option selects on rng is nice.

at least the boss fights look more interesting than "cheese this AI with kel'thuzad and a taunter"

pretty solid, lot of good battlecry effects to abuse this with

oh no, yeah, okay murlocadin is a thing now again.

Going to be an adventure next week

from what I saw over on the website the new keyword with it is going to be scry basically Discover which finds cards that fit its criteria that aren't in your deck

I just reaaaally hope they don't make the heroic modes require mandatory AI exploiting with specific cards to win

It's supposed to be about warcraft 1, with Lothar and Durotan butting heads. Although I highly doubt their going to follow the plot of the first game....seeing how they have to be edgy for the wow kiddies and Metzens orc master race complex.

PC Games / So, Kaizer is attempting to make a game...

So for a very long time I've always wanted to make my own RPG with the story I've had saved up. Sadly, I am horribly apathetic and lethargic towards trying to learn things, and making a game isn't exactly something you pick up in a night, fast forward to about a month ago and I finally decided to just "do it". I figured the best place to at least start getting something working would be using RPG maker as a base(which if some of you remember I tried screwing around with years ago to make an RPG based on these forums....that didn't go too well), and to be blunt it's given me a pretty big crash course in how much of a pain coding/eventing is.

All things considered though, I've been working on a tech demo of sorts for how I want battles and events and such to play out in the game itself. While for now I'm heavily focusing on the games main story/maps/layout/battle system I do have intentions to go through and work on the games artwork/music instead of just using the stock placeholders RPG-maker supplies.

So for now my priority plans look something like this;
1)battle engine

I threw what I have for a "tech demo" up on google drive to show a few people what I've managed to assemble in a month of trial and error and a lot of reading.

It's pretty short and it'd mean a lot to me if people check it out and give me ideas/insult me

I'm drawing a lot of influences from my favorite games: ff6,smrpg,chrono trigger, mass effect 1, earthbound.

things that I hope to add in later include:
Arcana system: a special equipment similar to magicite, equipping one gives the wearer stat increases and skills that are usable once per encounter that do not consume your turn.
Relationship Levels: As you and your party members fight you'll get to trust one another better and be able to discuss your pasts and other fun tidbits of fluff.
Jewel system: Some powerful rare equipment will have slots for jewels in them that augment their stats/give passives/affect certain skills
HD resolution: I kind of know how to do this but the placeholder assets do not like to play nice and I'd rather spend time on my own assets than re-tooling placeholders to not freak out at higher resolutions

Anyways about the game itself:
Eidolon-13(W.I.P) is about a lazy good for nothing called Theo Knight. One day he accepts a less than reputable job offer and wakes up in a fantasy world known as Vanafel. For one reason or another one of the many gods of Vanafel chose him to fight on his behalf in a death game where thirteen chosen warriors, known as Eidolons, fight to the death to become a new god. Theo just wants to hang out in the world that he views as a dream come true, but with the other Eidolons hunting him, things may get a bit complicated. Theo and his friends will have to travel across the world going on adventures and become strong enough through the power of friendship murdering tons of monsters to strengthen Theo's Eidolon power and win the game, but is killing the others the right way to win?
Theo Knight: A lazy, pun making idiot from our world stuck in the type of world where the tropes he grew up loving are common happenstance. As an Eidolon he has been given strength and magic powers no ordinary human could possess which only grow the more he fights. However Theo has a bit of a shady past from back in our world and although being in this world is the equivalent of being in Disney World, deep down he's afraid of going back home, or making the same mistakes he made there, here.

Eren Mihr: An Elven Ranger and daughter of the Grand Sage of Eisenwolt. Eren gave up on following her fathers legacy to instead become a Ranger, thus making her a black sheep among her people for denying her birthright, as such she has become a no-nonsense voice of reason constantly forced to excel to keep her adversaries off her back. Due to unforeseen circumstances involving a curse and some bad luck, she is unable to leave part ways with Theo forcing the two to become allies until they can break the curse.

Angelice Flugel Mk9: A member of the race of humanoid machines given a soul, the Anima, Angelice is a vanguard and scout for her people, gauging the strengths and weaknesses of the others so if necessary the Anima would have the advantage. That being said the Anima are incredibly powerful as is, known as Machines of Death due to their immense mechanical power to convert energy into magic and devastate entire armies single-handed. Angelice is a bit peculiar in that, she is able to refuel her power cells by eating candy, and as such decides to travel along with Theo who is more than happy to continually feed her more than she could ever want, while she studies both an Eidolon and the rest of the world as per her mission. The greatest asset, according to Angelice, that she has is that her current body has a young appearance (one she insists is twelve) which lets her trick humans into thinking she is a harmless girl to get more candy.

So like I said, check it out if you can, let me know your thoughts on how stuff looks for now or whatever. I don't know how long it's going to take to complete my ambitions since I only get two days a week to work on it right now, but I've been doing all the studying and other work I can while on my breaks during my job and I really want to make something that people think is cool.
