I'm still baffled as to how they allowed this game to lie dormant until 2007.  SSB is good but it's not so demanding of revolutionary gameplay that it shouldn't have gotten a sequel in this generation.  Just as Sony and Microsoft think too much about the financials--okay, I don't know WHAT Microsoft is thinking about!--Nintendo doesn't seem to focus enough on making money.  If they did then we would have this game already.

so, anyone else recall how nintendo said a few months ago that the wii (then revolution) had the capability of using graphics from one game and implementing them in another. making it easy for developers to not have to create new art and just reuse another games characters or levels?

anyone seeing this here? that link is the twilight princess link. if that's true, they could easily make a kid icarus with the pit model they have for this game. sweet? you betcha.  if they don't make one i will head the brainstorming team, seriously. who doesn't want to play a game where you fly up through this endless temple shooting your bow through the heads of snakes or whatever.

Well I think they had that because they had that metal gear remake on the cube. I could also see sonic in the new game because he was on the gamecube.

I'm just saying that I couldn't see anyone who hasn't been in a nintendo game in the new SSB

Oh, I just re watched the movie. Does that mean the nintendogs will be in it? O.o

What blows my mind is that it was Hideo Kojima who asked Nintendo to have Snake in the Smash Bros. cast first, not the other way around... heck, the article even said he begged for Snake to be in Melee, but he asked too late in the development for them to put him in.

Wow, really suprised to see this.  I've been pretty much against them including non-nintendo characters, but I think I can make an exception for Solid Snake, as long as they don't go overboard and start throwing in Master Chief or Crash Bandicoot or anything.

Oh, and to me it looked like the Nintendog was just a power-up, the same way a lot of the Pokemon can come onto the screen and start attacking, but who knows.  If it were a character it probably would have been introduced like the others.

And ya gotta remember, they are probably not releasing ALL of the new characters in that trailer so there could be even better additions (however unlikely that is.  I mean honestly, how can you beat Metaknight and Kid Icarus?)

Personally I'm all for as many extra characters as we can fit it's all good as long as they origional characters not knock off like Ganondorf was of Capt Falcon. heck I wont be happy until Gaming Steve is a playable character.
