Okay. I guess we'll see how this goes.

Was anyone asking for a Ratchet & Clank movie? Wouldn't a game be more pertinent? The games are mildly entertaining. I wouldn't say they're so bursting with humor and wonder that they deserve a movie. Or is this about selling more Ratchet & Clank stuff and building name recognition among a younger audience?

I mean, you can do that just by making good games. R&C games are good but not great, but they're not far from being great. Maybe take a little of that movie money and divert it toward some more talent for the next game... you know, rather than make the movie nobody wanted. >_>

Who knows, though. Maybe it'll be good. Maybe.

I'm not exactly excited about this either.  The only interesting thing here to me is that they're making a movie based on a videogame that actually looks like said game.

I've never actually played a Ratchet and Clank game.  Are the characters and setting interesting enough to support a movie?
Probably not a Goat, either.

Same here but based on that trailer I would say no.

They have about as much cinematic value as Mario. :-\

The trailer also seems very indulgent.

Minimal information about the film, what it might be about, or what Ratchett and Clank even is (for the benefit of us outsiders) in favour of a load of fourth wall gags which were admittedly funny...

...in the 40s when Warner Brothers were doing them

Eh, I figure there's at least as much of a premise here as there was in Megamind, and I liked that.  Time will tell, I guess?
Nefarious?  Nearly.  Ne’er-do-well?  Never!  Neither nearly names this narrator.  Naive and knowledgeable, notorious and inscrutable, this nascent Nero is known naturally as Neoadept.
