Why would I want to watch fansubs when I'm content waiting for the allotted time slot each Saturday?

Exactly.  I could watch the various series that I follow on the internet if I so desired, and my parents fail to under stand why I'd want to stay up til 3 in the morning watching them when I could just tape it, but I dunno, there's something more special about it with the suspense of the week wait and commercials.

If someone was odd enough, they hypothetically could have success on Limewire  ;)

I like the basic concept, but I think the story muffles it up.  Personally I'd prefer to have one then read about someone who has one.

But the story is the whole thing!  The note itself is great for enabling that story, but the series is less about that and more about the battle between enormous intellects and question of who is actually the good guy.

And I think we'd all prefer to have the various super powers we read about than, well, read about them.  But then it wouldn't be a story, would it?
Nefarious?  Nearly.  Ne’er-do-well?  Never!  Neither nearly names this narrator.  Naive and knowledgeable, notorious and inscrutable, this nascent Nero is known naturally as Neoadept.

I agree with Neo. When I once mentioned the series to someone, I stumbled at whether the protagonist was the 'good guy.' If a show makes you think, or reconsider your morals, it's doing something right. It's all a complex, world-spanning game of chess.

I've just started watching this, and I was sceptical at first but now I'm really into it. Every second I think 'Wow, L is smart: Kira is being an idiot and playing right into his hands" followed by 'Wow, Kira is devious.'

Although killing criminals seems a little pointless; they're going to die or be imprisoned anyway. I'd concentrate on ridding the world of escaped Nazis and people whose politics I deem unworthy. Moral Absolutism is fine if you're doing it.

Yes, I am aware of the irony.
