Just wondering, since you mentioned underwater creatures, any word on whether flying creatures are possible? I seemed to remember a flying creature being referenced (whether by example or not I don't know), in one of the gamespy or gamespot articles, so any info is appreciated. thanks

Would it be possible to make a gorilla-like creature that walks with his hands mainly? How would he hold his weapons?

And to add to my others in the other spore questions thread... (I might wind up asking duplicates)

- Is it possible to have your planet not allow other players' content? (i.e., the player finds a huge asteroid/moon, and turn it into a zoo of different creatures to watch them interact).

- Is it possible to create new, or modify existing tools and features? (for example, if in the creature builder, I want a claw to be bigger, more hand like, and have 7 fingers instead of 3 or 5, or if I want the create to have an extoskeleton)

- Is it possible to evole an appendage (like a fin and evolve it by stretching, adding bone structure) rather than simply adding a leg? (This is my main concern about this game in that it won't allow a fluid progression, but rather, a jumpy one. That is, the player won't be able to gradually turn the fin into a foot and have it become a foot, or gradually develop lungs instead of gills, or even keep the gills all together. Maybe the players wants a "Sea Crawler" on a high gravity planet...)

- Is it possible to go back into Animal Mode or any other mode? (i.e., in the case of the Zoo Planet, the player wants to see how those creatures evolve and interact)

- Is it possible to control more than one species on the same planet?

- Can one determine the type of athmosphere the planet will have when terraforming it? (i.e., when the player triggers a volcano, they expect methane gas, and sulphur). Would it then be possible (as in the above question) to switch into cell mode to see how these creatures will evolve?

- Is it possible to recreate a planet (or increase the size) by using asteroids?

- Is it possible to export a planet (such as a zoo, or an experimental planet of somesort) into a private universe where it wouldn't be influenced by other players?

- Would a creature feel the gravitational and athmospheric effects of another planet? (i.e., if a rich nitrogen breathing creature from a lightwieght world tries to invade a super-dense gravity, rich methane based world, would he survive, or be crushed by the gravity and/or gases? Would the spaceship be crushed as it's made for the less gravity world?)

- If whatever your controlling is destroyed, be it your Creature in the Evo stage, City in the City Stage, or UFO in the Space age, what will happen?

- Will the game focus on just one galaxy, or more than one?

- What system (if any) will there be for controlling what content is given to your system? (Immature Content, etc)

- How come Will is so Awesome?

- In the demo, we can see Asteroids - are they just free-roaming objects, that wont effect worlds, or will Asteroid impacts occur?

- In the demo, you can see two planets which cross each other's orbit path. Will they ever collide?

- In the demo, Will looked at a Blue Giant and said something like "Thats a Blue Giant, its going to become a Supernova, so I'm gonna keep away from that". Does this mean that Star's have life-cycles?

- Last mention of the demo...Will showed us the Nebula in the middle of the galaxy - will this actually create new stars, or is it just eye-candy?

- Will there be Day/Night cycles?

Hmm... one of the things that I didn't see in the demo (aside from the title screen, and so on and so forth) were the "time controls" (i.e. pause, normal speed, double speed and so forth) and a location for the options menu. Now, one can assume that the options menu will be there, with whatever options are required, but about the time controls... Is there any insight into the existence of a pause and/or fast-forward feature for when the game is released?

Does the game decide where in the creature's body it puts all the squishy organ stuff or can you manually decide you, say, want to put his brain in the tail?

Can you change how the creature sounds(as in speaking)? Will we hear and be able to decipher what the creatures say?

are the creatures going to need to drink water? If they don't than their wouldn't be much point in making a crocodile-like animal.

also if you move onto land, can you maove back to the water, and if so would you still breathe air?

Will there be infantry combat?

Is there going to be pets, or slavery?

And what about genetic resp. cybernetic engineering? Will you be able to customise your species in the civ or the space era, ie. make it stronger or more intelligent, using genetics or implants?

Oh and: can you make floating creatures (with some kinda gas-sack inside, like a flying meduse)? Will there be flying cities?

What is there for herbavores to eat? Are there fruits, nuts, berries and seeds or is it just leaves and grass?

Can creatures climb?

Can creatures glide? (but not quite have the power to fly)

Being an omnivore is a clear advantage over being a carnivore or a herbavore, because of the versitility in food sources. Will there be some sort of 'price' to pay for being an omnivore (like needing more 'points' to evolve) that would make players be inclined to choose a specialist rather than an Omnivore?

What determines heat and cold tolerances of creatures? I would hope the creatures on a tundra planet would look different than those on a desert planet.

Will mentioned that the tribal stage would determine how emotional/logcial a race would be. I'm wondering what the exact effects of emotion vs. logic will be. A logical race could just as easily be peaceful as it could be warlike. Same goes for the emotional extreme.

It was said that when you become sentiant you would control only one of several tribes of your race. How many is "several"?

What are the social ramifications of being a solitary vs. a group creature when they evolve sentiance. Even 'solitary' creatures begin to live in groups, do herd creatures act differently?

In the video, the agressive city also had Will's tripods living in it. Is it possible to have OTHER races on the same planet at the city stage?

When Will was doing the first contact light show, did they attack him because they were warlike, or because he screwed up the message?

Since you need to mate to lay an egg on the animal stage, there must be others of your species. How many other members of your species is the world populated with? Does the number increase as you become more successful and decrease as you get killed?

Just a few things that hit my mind after watching the video and hearing the interview
