What are your favorite "web-based" games?
« on: August 26, 2005, 02:15:42 pm »
Hey all, I see that a few of you have/do play "web-based" games, such as Runescape and The Kingdom of Loathing.

I am extremely interested to hear from you all what games you play/have played and what you like about them/don't like about them. Most importantly, I want to know what makes you coming back for more? The more info the better as I want to know what you guys think about this topic!

Used to play Kings of Chaos or whatever it was called, and played Runescape briefly.  Thought they were a little rubbish and repetitive, and required little to no skill.  Sorry, not my thing really.

I liked Urban Dead.

I used to play KoL but it got sort of stale. Right now I play something called OGame which is a sort of space strategy game in real time. (www.ogame.org) It's rather fun, I just got attacked and lost 1.5 million in ships. Hehehe.

I used to play Scrabble online alot. It was a nice social setting and the scoring allowed you to be matched against similar players so games were challenging without being frag-fests (at least as much as one could frag in scrabble). Otherwise I never got in to any webbased games.

Playing Urban dead right now as well. Many moons ago I played Kings of Chaos but not for a while although I did have a look at it again not too long ago but it was only a brief one.

Outwar looks good, except I tried killing some snakes and things, but I got no experience.  Is it really just that you make people link to outwar that gives you xp?  Because that would be lame.
I have been told
not by one but two of my lovers
that I've got a heart of gold
but I'm unable to share it with others
They call me a poet who'll never have a poem
a tiger with no taste for bone
I'm the wonderful wonderful wizard who's waltzing alone
