Spore: General / Re: Clothing

That's why you would make the clothing, give your imagination a little room to run and you'll be able to figure out how to make your creature where a bit of clothing here or there.
Spiders with leg warmers? Will's three legged thing with a sweater? I think Spore may have a pretty large comedy element to it.

I, unfortunately, did not get to see The Screen Savers before TechTV was bought out. However, I did like what I was able to see and am pretty mad that the show has ended.

PC Games / The Perfect Game

I think that for everyone there is at least one game that can be described by them as nothing other than "perfect." If you have found that game, what is it and why do you like it? If you have not, what do you think it will be like?

As for myself, I reallly think that The Elder Scrolls series is rapidly approaching what I would call perfection. Oblivion (TES IV) looks pretty damn good, but the truly perfect TES game is probably yet to come. One thing that would make The Elder Scrolls series better, im my opinion, as all of this is, is some technological advancement from game to game. Oblivion looks as though it will take place in the same technological era as Arena (TES I) did, while hundreds of years have passed since then. I would also like a better combat system than the completely horrid one in TES III. (It worked, there was just some weird move-while-pulling-your-sword/axe/whatever-back system that absolutely no one I know of knew what to do with.)

Just thought that this would be an interesting topic.

Crap. I could have sworn that the answer was Animal Crossing. It sounded like the gibberish that all of the characters speak.

Portable Games / Re: Is the PSP to expensive?

I've really been going back and forth on weather or not to get a PSP. I think it's probable that I'll get one eventually, but not within the next 18 months. Main reason: the price.

I seem to get a console for Christmas every year.

2002: Gamecube
2003: PS2
2004: DS and a really good gaming PC

My prediction for the next couple years:

2005: XBox 2 (or whatever the hell Microsoft's gonna call it)
2006: PS3
2007: PSP??? (it might be affordable by then)

As you can see, I don't plan on getting one anytime soon.

This game looks really good. I got really excited for a second when I saw "June 23", but then I saw "in Japan" after it. I can't believe we have to wait until October 9, but it looks well worth the wait.

Alright. I admit it. There were a FEW good jokes in Napolean Dynamite. But in general, it was just stupid.

No need to apologize. This thread has been off-topic for the past 8 posts or so.

It's not bad, it's just different. :P

Why does it always seem like I'm always in a minority as far as things I like/dislike go? I like Empire Earth, I like The Matrix Reloaded, I hate Napolean Dynamite, the list goes on...

No, it doesn't. Empire Earth I was an abysmal game, so i hold absolutely no interest in it's sequel.
You're kidding. Empire Earth is like... the absolute best RTS made to date.... At least in my opinion. *Shrugs* Whatever. You're entitled to yours.

TV / Re: Atlantis and SG1

I was travelling during the last episode of Atlantis and the tape that my friend's wife recorded it on ended just as

Major Shepard said that he was going to pilot a Puddle Jumper armed with a nuke from the Genai into a Wraith hive ship.

As you can imagine, I was VERY pissed off.

I think about 60-90 minutes would be good. Not too long, but not too short either.

So I guess I'll start up with...

Singularity by Willliam Sleator
I have begun to read Singularity. I'm only on the second chapter, but so far, it's pretty good. The librarian at the library I got the book from said that William Sleator is a very good author, so I think that it will exceed all of my expectations.
