Spore: General / will sims learn from spore?
« on: August 12, 2006, 08:36:35 am »
I think it would be stupid of maxis if they didn't take some of the innovative ideas from spore to incorporate into the sims 3. In the sims 3 they should have tool and clothing editors built into the game as well as a search engine so that you could type in keywords to find other people's content. The tool editors don't have to have the ability to invent new items, but at least have the capability of like making a refrigerator an infinite amount of styles. what do you guys think?

Spore: General / Incredible Modability
« on: August 08, 2006, 08:38:01 am »
I know there are other topics about spore's modability, but im going to claim that my topic's different. Warcraft 3 has probably the most creative mods of any game i know, but spore's coding has the potential of creating a game of any genre known to video games. FPS, RTS, even flight simulators could technically be created as long as the designers decide to include the ability to mod the game. There could be a multiplayer aspect of spore with out actually being an mmo. Do you guys think they will include this multiplayer aspect to the game in the same way warcraft does?

Spore: General / Spore PR
« on: July 08, 2006, 10:32:35 am »
Anyone else feel like the Public Relations department for spore has done jack as far as advertising for the game. I feel like I've done more work for Spore telling friends and such, who would have no idea about the game if it wasn't for me.

Shouldn't we have seen another video of Will Wright's speech on May 9th by now? I haven't heard anything about it.

Spore: General / G4 TV
« on: May 09, 2006, 02:12:45 pm »
I know this is a strech, but does anyone have a webcam that they could either record Will Wright's speech on or show it live from the G4 channel?

Spore: General / Evolution in Video
« on: May 07, 2006, 01:49:44 pm »
During the mating section of the new video the creature that is being controlled goes up and attacks another creature. Did anyone notice that they looked kind of similar, discluding their color. They both had segmented bodies with 4 legs and the same feet. Maybe it was just a coincidence but this might mean that there is a correlation between your creature and the other ones on your planet.

Spore: General / Worm Holes
« on: April 12, 2006, 03:15:27 pm »
What if, when you had enough "money", you could build a worm hole which would allow you to go back to the point at which you opened it. You could only go back once though, kinda like a save game feature. I don't exactly know how this would be that useful, but I feel like time travel has to be part of the game.

Spore: General / 2 Versions
« on: April 09, 2006, 01:05:40 pm »
Does anyone think EA would ever release 2 versions of the game. Since procedual mating may not be "appropriate" for the younger audience, do you think they might release 2 games so that they can still sell to kids while keeping certain content.

I just saw the new issue of wired and Will Wright wrote an article in it. There's also a new picture of spore.
