Forum Games / Psychic Answer For an Unasked Question
« on: September 03, 2006, 11:50:16 am »
I got this idea from the random answer for a random question game, and the psychic game... What you do, is answer the question that the next person asks. The question answerer has to make the question make sense with the answer.

Poster 1 : Because he couldn't find a pie.

Poster 2 : Why did SpecialBrownies eat a cake.

               Tom Cruise.

Poster 3 : Who's that guy who was in Mission Impossible?

I don't know, go ask Paul.

***AND SO ON***

Only, those examples sucked!

Ok, I'll start, with only an answer...

In the rainforest.

The first response to be seconded will be the course of action chosen.

You are a man in his twenties. You wake up to find that you have slept in past noon. You walk to your kitchen and open the fridge, and see a snake! What do you do?

Spore: General / Watcher - A Spore-Like Game

Check it out! I just found it!

NOTE: When you download it, use the alternate mirror, the main one is corrupt. (Or at least it was for me.)

Spore: General / City Buildings
« on: July 08, 2006, 12:58:33 pm »
How do you think they will work? Do you think they will just have no purpose? That wouldn't be exciting. They will obviously have a purpose. But what?

In some screens/videos there is like, a logo thing of some gears over one of the buildings, do you think that's because it's being built, or because it's building something, or producing things? That would be cool if like, depending on what properties we gave the buildings, they would do more stuff, and betterly, and I'm not really sure what I'm talking about any more, maybe someone else could help me out.

Spore: General / Debrainification
« on: July 08, 2006, 11:04:48 am »
Ok, I was wondering, can you abduct a few members of an advanced civilization, then completely obliterate their planet, killing everything, then, take their creature into the creature editor, and put their brain on the lowest level, and put them back onto the planet. You could then let them develop again, worshipping you, or just watch, and see if they develop the same way they did last time. There are alot of possibilities. I hope we can do this.

Spore: Roleplaying and Story Games / Fast Moving Life
« on: May 05, 2006, 05:16:08 pm »
This is like those other evolution games, only faster, with new rules.

First new rule - the first vote is the vote that wins.
Second new rule - the person to post after the vote is the one who posts the next part of the story and evolution choices.
Third new rule - A voter can't be the voter 2 times in a row, and a "choicer" can't be the "choicer" 2 times in a row.

Our creature starts off as a tiny little insignifigant blob in the primoidial soup. We have no defense or attack mechanisims. One day, there was a mutation...
A. It grew a filter thing to eat floating stuff and be lazy.
B. It grew a cell wall to defend against spikey things.
C. It grew a spike to poke at things to get nutrients out of the inside of them.
D. It grew a little propulsion system to run away from things.

Spore: General / One Legged Creatures and You!
« on: May 05, 2006, 04:47:48 pm »
Ok, as I was reading one of the revived evolution threads, (thanks Hydro for reviving every single thread ever...) I was thisnking about one legged creatures. Ok, so, let's use the little hoppy thing from the GDC video for example. If that was your creature that you were playing as, what exactly could you use to attack with in the evolution stage? Would you hop up and hit something in the face? Or hit them with your body? Or what? And let's say that just for arguement's sake that it's an herbavore, what about when it reaches tribal? How is it going to use tools such as spears and drums and the like? With only one limb, I think it would be hard to reach sentience (or sapeince, whatever you prefer). Those are just my thoughts, anyone have anything that I overlooked or forgot, or just something to add at all?

Spore: General / GDC Prototyping Powerpoint
« on: March 31, 2006, 02:05:26 pm »
I was looking around, with no particular aim on the internet, and I stumbled across this pretty little thing. It's the final prototyping powerpoint that was presented by Chris Hecker and Chaim Gingold at GDC '06. It shows of tons of prototypes of spore, it also shows some new creatures and that other races will approach you with missions in the space age. Oh boy, it's exciting!!!

If clicking on the link doesn't work, right click and do "Save Target As..."

Unless you have a Mac, then you can, uh... not, do that.

Spore: General / Will Wright's Work Phone
« on: March 29, 2006, 12:59:17 am »
I was on the GameSpot forums, and I was going to tell some people to come to Gaming Steve for Spore info, and in a topic, someone had posted Will Wright's office phone number. They said the answering machine message was funny, so I decided to call to listen to it, it was funny, quite amusing, I think I'm going to have to put a message like that on my answering machine. But anyway, here it is if anyone actually has the intention of calling him for a purpose other than listening to his humorus message...

Then it will ring, and if you're lucky, you'll get Will Wright!

PC Games / Bone: Out From Boneville Help
« on: March 22, 2006, 07:15:36 pm »
When I start Bone, it loads fine, until it gets to the main menu. It says "Bone" at the top of the scroll thingy, and then it has a big blank space below it, and there isn't a cursor or anything. Could somebody please help?

Spore: General / When did we find out about Spore?
« on: March 14, 2006, 04:36:25 pm »
I just want to know how many people have been here since the beginning, and how many people came after the video was posted on Google Video, and everyone in between. It will also show how much power Google has over our minds.

Spore: General / Spore RPG
« on: October 12, 2005, 07:10:29 pm »
Oh Emm Gee. If they made an expansion pack, that was like, you chose what creature that you had made, and a planet, and it proceduraly generates a story, and it's an epic RPG, set across time and space! That would be crazy! With all the user-created weapons and things, but it wouldn't be an MMORPG, it would still be single player! That would be great!

Spore: General / When do you think spore will come out?
« on: March 19, 2005, 09:17:52 pm »
I would say......2-5 months.

Spore: General / Internet Connectivity
« on: March 18, 2005, 01:52:48 pm »
The computer that I play games on isn't connected to the internet, and I was wondering if you have to be connected to the internet to play. I can't install it on this computer because it sucks and my parents don't like me playing games on it. So can you guys give me some insight.
