Spore: General / Expansion packs
« on: April 11, 2006, 09:44:05 am »
Well, this has been discussed in many topics, so I thought I'd just make a central one that everyone could post their ideas in. These are'nt suggestions for the main game, because there's already a topic for that, it's just a topic to discuss what you'd like to see in various expansions. Meaning stuff you don't have to buy, but that's available.

Here's what I'd like to see:

Spore: Politics - in this expansion, the politics, religion, and scientific aspects of the civilization mode are expanded to encompass more political strategy, rather than just sending out vehicles.

Spore: Superstructures - this expansion allows for things like Dyson's spheres, space stations, off-world mining facilities, and the like.

Well, that's all I got, anyone else?

Spore: General / No Internet for me

Hi there. I've been browsing through the forums and haven't been able to get a coherent answer to a single question that's been bugging me. Now, being the perfectionist I am, I'd hate to be using someone elses content on my own game. Easy to fix right? Just opt out, right? Well, that's all well and good, and I understand that that means there won't be as much content, not that I really care, just so long as all the content is between what I make and what the computer comes up with.

I know that you guys probably aren't super experts or psychics, but it's just been bugging me that I might get stuck playing in a world without any other life in it, a wimpy ecosystem, and linear gameplay, all because of my personality. I suppose someone might no the answer so: If I play without opting in to "multiplayer," does that mean that no other life will exist outside of my planet, or will the computer take care of all that." Like I said, I could care less about lack of variety, I'm just worried about there not being anything at all. Really, I'd like to think that the computer could do the work without using other player's content, and since you could literally squeeze thousands of bits of info onto a disc, it shouldn't be a problem, should it?
