Well I'm back after a loooooooong time for those who remember me so i thought i should post a bit of info on my first creature - The Grekken.
They are a tree dwelling civilisation with extremely powerful arms, gained from travel through the treetop canopy. However due to a lack of use throughout their evolutionary life their legs have become very weak and almost vestigial in nature. For those that remember the grekken from a thread way back, the idea behind them has changed over time, I've made them less and less ape like but the idea of vestigial legs remains.

This isnt just the creature creation board, its a spore in general creation area, so its right to be here.

I'll be doing a bit of both. Think first i'll just mess around and go with the flow, but i would like to create some of the creatrures i have drawn/in my head too.

They're legs that have become vestigial over time due to there almost complete non-use.

Look, this is just silly, we all want this game to be great, and many will choose to believe that it will be perfect whilst others will be cynical. If we just keep things civil and refrain from posting needless insults, etc then posts like mine will be needless. Jake I can see where youre coming from, fanboyism can be annoying. I confess that i'm as big a fan of spore as any, but i do expect that not EVERYTHING is possible. Smileyman I had a quick look back at many of your most recent posts and a large majority of them seem to be causing arguments and/or problems, how about you keep the extreme negativity to yourself and refrain from arguing needlessley?
That ok everyone? If anyone does have a problem with another, how about we use the PM button instead of bloating theses threads with all this spam.

I think that having creatures attack with the specific means you give them would make for a much more interesting combat system, as in city of heroes with the attacks as set buttons. It will give a greater sense of involvement in the battles that the creature is involved in.

Just noticed the Gracken, looks a tad more imaginative than my guy here though! They kinda look like triops. Wouldnt want to meet your guys in a dark alley im afraid though!
