I'm interested to see how the next gen and maybe the one after that go.  We're getting close to a peak, I think.  Folks like us might geek out over billions of triangles and dynamic lighting or whatever, but is it really gonna make that big of a difference for the next fifa or call of duty or whatever?

When I heard there was a tornado watch in the area I started picturing a rocket fuel firenado.  It'd be appropriate this year.

Let's hope the weather cooperates on Saturday.  Sometimes I wonder why they launch from Florida, home of the afternoon pop up thunderstorm.

A couple of nights ago I had a dream somewhere between a movie and a videogame.  One of those every character from everything all fighting at once type deals.  A lot of it was sort of toys or legos.  At the start I'm scrolling through all the available characters and landed on the Blues Brothers.  There was a Jake and two Elwoods. I asked why there were two Elwoods, they shrugged, and Jake and the first Elwood hopped in the Bluesmobile and took off.  When I woke up I realized that my sleeping brain had made a "refusing to acknowledge that Blues Brothers 2000 exists" joke and I didn't realize it until I was awake.  I was weirdly proud of myself.

Last night I had the classic "final exam for a class I never attended" dream.  It was a language test in German, Dutch, and Spanish.  I don't know any of those languages but somehow I faked my way to the last question, which I was still trying to answer as I woke up.  I went back to sleep and had another dream where my right arm had been cut off.  I was carrying it around looking for a fridge to put it in until it could be reattached.  I wasn't too worried about it.

This cover was mentioned by the local radio guys this morning, one of the hosts lost his mind when he found out about it.  But seeing as I wasn't entirely awake I was thinking of Tom Waits instead of Tom Jones, so now I'm disappointed.  So let's just pretend this is actually a TF2 reference.
