Thought I'd just pop in to say that this looks awesome.

You can definitely tell it was directed by J.J. Abrams. (Not a bad thing.)

Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

Impossible to tell quality of movie from trailer. Might as well pretend the trailer doesn't exist and just keep basing our assumptions on other information.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

The TIE fighters clipping the audio at the end was hilarious.

That saber is useless

If he tries to parry as intended, the opposing saber will just cut through the handle rather than be stopped by the light blade.

Idk man, idk.
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

Why does everyone have problems with the saber? It looks really cool, and it's just a movie for fun. Plus it could just be vents for the saber which looks like it was makeshift based on the blade.

There are also such things as lightsaber-resistant metals.
Rule of Cool trumps everything though.

I think the problem with the lightsaber is that the addition of the guard thingies seems unnecessary considering the nature of the Force and how Jedi and Sith generally fight. Seems more like a vanity thing. And if it is, cool! That'd be a neat twist.
