I signed up for the euro beta, I really dislike MMOs though, had my fill of the grind long ago, but WAR looks like it might actually be fun, I especially liked the description of the greenskin shaman, how he MUST kill to increase waaaaaaaagh to power his heals, brilliant :)

Never play the grind. If a MMORPG is nothing more then a grind then it is not worth playing. (And most are)
Check out my Creatures.

all we know is that a wide range of computer specifications will be taken, so maybe this will favour the high end
also, having signed up to the newsletter is meant to give you preference

ah well, it all looks good, but you never know till you play it, this summer hopefully :O

When will they  let people know if you got into the beta?
Do you think it will be in the next week or two?

The timing of entry into the beta will be spread out over the course of the summer and into the fall. As much as we’d love to open the flood gates and let you all in at once, we invite people into the beta as we need them for testing purposes.

Which empire ones?  I already know what's what from the table top and the RPG.  I could post some general flavor text later.

The only High Elf/Dark Elf classes I've heard about so far are: Witch Elf, Wizard, and Corsair.

Thats only rumours. The Witch Elf and Wizard classes are asumed to be in by most people since they are in the cinematic trailer, but the dwarf in the cinematic trailer is a Slayer. And there will be no playable Slayers in WAR. The Corsair rumour comes from the Quest podcast were Paul hints about Corsairs and possibly Shadow Warriors aswell. So Corsairs are the only thing Im almost sure will be a playable class, but even that is just rumours and speculation.

I think all the Warhammer talk has moved into this thread so I'll repost this here.

Warhammer Web Comic:
The Secret Lives of Mobs
Strip 9 : Chaos Divided is my favorite.  I had the exact same thoughts when I found out Tzeentch was the only playable Chaos faction.

I think all the people interested in the beta should join one of the Warhammer forum.  That would make us a faction of sorts.
I think Warhammer Alliance is a good choice.
Here's a bunch of Warhammer avatars they just posted.  http://www.warhammeralliance.com/images/WAR-Avatars.zip

Here are two I found on my own a while back.

I can't decide on which one to use though and I need a good Orkish name.

Slartibar sounds like a good Orc name to me.
