Evil genius was a pretty good game, nice style, and the gameplay wasnt spectacular but solid enough.

all we know is that a wide range of computer specifications will be taken, so maybe this will favour the high end
also, having signed up to the newsletter is meant to give you preference

ah well, it all looks good, but you never know till you play it, this summer hopefully :O

PC Games / Re: Starcraft 2: it's official

yes, the segment covered games as sports and was quite good
all i can say is that for this game to be taken up by korea, it will have to be nearly perfect
though this is blizzard, to be fair every game they have made is great

the way i see it theres no point getting any of them until theres either a must have game or a clear winner, once theres a clear winner its always time to jump on the bandwagon

ah well, back to my pc games

X3 is the main one, quite beautiful graphics
other than that, freelancer
the only other one is the open space project (an open source improvement of starlancer 2 i think)

PC Games / Re: Why do PC developers push system requirements?

I agree that graphics dont have to be high-powered to be beautiful

I like it, as its more realistic so more immersive
only thing ridiculous here is ubisofts insistance on SM3 and giving no SM2 support, sucks to all x800 owners

havent dled it, but yep, its apparantly a poor port, though a mouse mod is meant to be in the works
a bit silly since this port has been delayed or so long

PC Games / Re: Game making Question.

as long as they provide patches and fix the problems after release im happy
i know ppl complain that it ruins your view of a game, but when i like a game i know is buggy, i wait for the patches before i buy it

i believe also that QA also means that the publishers get a build of the game as well as the developers gametesters

there are also some game making programs, "fps creator" is one i believe
theres also "rpg maker", the only one ive used but only 2d
there are others, but they would require you to learn a programming language

you could maybe start of doing something like learn to do some basic scripting, then work on a modification for a game like halflife 2, theres been quite a few mod teams that made it, DICE for example
