Okay, since this topic is furthest down the list I'll do my housekeeping bump here.

I've just archived all of the RPs.

The NEW Superpower RP is at a grand total of 617 pages in Word and I've added a new catalog for characters. Currently it only has my character in it but I'll get to adding your characters in a bit. I have also added a section for summaries.

The Historical Superpower RP - Chapter 1 is now a complete archive so I have removed the time stamp from it's title, it is 117 pages. I've got the character section up, again it only has my characters in it. This chapter is ready for summarizing and/or being converted into a story-type format.

The Historical Superpower RP - Chapter 2 is archived and has reached 17 pages. Like the others, the character section only has my character in it.

Here is how the file sizes pan out:
The NEW Superpower RP: 602KB
Historical - Chapter 1: 108KB
Historical - Chapter 2: 28.4KB

Also I have started writing an independent story about the events that led to Bernardo ascending to Grandmaster of the Brotherhood. I figured I'd give it a shot. :)

That concludes the current update for April 14, 2007. (I guess it's the 15th now...)

If there is anything else anyone would like to know please tell me and I'll see what I can do.

We need action. Unfortunately I made my character take a nap and I can't just wake him for no reason and have him go and meet everyone else in the desert. That would be corny.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

I’ve decided to join the Roman RP.  It is a long way off, but I have a perfect character in mind…

I wanted to have Outcast talk to Teric's character, but he's asleep...

Cronos, welcome to the rp.  We hope you enjoy your stay.
Nefarious?  Nearly.  Ne’er-do-well?  Never!  Neither nearly names this narrator.  Naive and knowledgeable, notorious and inscrutable, this nascent Nero is known naturally as Neoadept.

Well, in the mean time you could figure out a character for the Prewar setting (which we're doing next with neoadept playing villain)

Here are some wikipedia pages that should be helpful (as examples of concepts and settings that were prevalent at that time):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cthulhu_Mythos
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jules_Verne
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.G._Wells
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1880s

Oh, and in case anyone might find the information useful, the coming chapter will be set in England, and the year will be 1888. Thats 8 years after the Wild West.

Now, thats when I will come back, because my time is getting less and less filled. :)
:O
Also, Gunner is one of the children.
It's true.

Ca-tool-hoo mythos is utterly incomprehensible to me. I just don't see why everything needs such a silly name.
Not a winner anymore.

I've a question.  Are runes known by the public?  Or is magic a secret?  For instance, could there be a company that sells runes that glow for light?

Its important for a character I have in mind...

This is an rp based on a world very similar to ours.  Unless that company has a very small customer base that doesn't let the secret slip, it can't be there.  You could probably get one into the main rp though.

I was thinking of using a...prominent figure in our history who was changed because of the existience of the Likelys and magic.  Could I do that?  :-\

I'd do my homework on him  :P

How prominent?  Are we talking Lincoln prominent or Tesla prominent?

Here's the thing, if the person was mysterious to begin with and already surrounded by speculation, go ahead.  If we all know the guys history from birth to death, no.

Indeed, I would almost classify your idea as a pre-made/recycled character and they never work out well... however if you can pull it off more power to you.

Post it and we'll all take a look at it. The worst case is that you have to rename him and change a few bio details. ;)

I was thinking that this particular person was influenced by some event unique to the Obano universe, and as a result, his name is different.  I always thought of this as an alternate history.  He is almost like Tesla in some aspects.  He is 31 years old at this time...
