Seems to be a very old game made with Basic, the first one using reusable tiles, kind of an adventure rpg by the looks.

Akalabeth was Richard Garriott's (Lord British) first computer game. Heh, if you had trouble with that one then you better try to find some good video game history web sites because there are a lot more where that came from!
