So last year ended up being pretty good, all things considered. Made a lot of progress and accomplished many goals; the adversity only making them more worthwhile to attain. So I'm really looking forward to this new year. What goals and plans do you hope to accomplish with this one and how will you end it better than you started it?

Getting a new job was one of the biggest things that improved my overall life and health. It doesn't pay as much as the one I left, but the quality of life improvements alone were well worth it and in the end I came out ahead because I was spending less money on distractions. Anyway, hope you achieve your goals!

Random side story. Shortly after posting this topic yesterday it began raining ice from the sky. And by evening there was a half inch of ice on everything. And by the time the sun set the power finally went out. Very grateful that it came back on this morning; it could have been a long haul like earlier in the Summer, just without the luxury of the air trying to kill me. Had a nice fire going though. Thank you fire! :0

Well the new year has been pretty fortuitous. I won a scratch off ticket a month ago and last week I managed to fish up a new rifle and a knife in a raffle.

I need to turn this into the gun topic. Was able to pick up a Benelli M2 at a ridiculously low price today. I think I found my new trap gun. Considering putting a pistol grip on it.

And what do you plan to do with all these knives and guns? Start a revolution?

Nah the revolution never ended. Like I said in the previous post I plan to use the shotgun for trap. It is also good for home defense. I've got some pistols and carbine that are also good for home defense and one of the pistols is also open/conceal carry. Plus target shooting. The rifles are for hunting and I use the big one for long-range target shooting. Target shooting is one of my stress relieving activities. Hoping to get a bigger one though; I would really like a .50 caliber, preferably semi-auto.

But for now I'm focusing on reloading. I have a bunch of extra brass and powder and was finally able to find some primers.

With that said, I may yet buy another pistol in the coming months. There's a single-shot that I've had my eye on for a while now.

The fire hall two towns over has decided to say "**** it" and hold their annual GUN FUN RAFFLE this year. Lockdowns and COVID be dammed! 35 guns up for raffle plus a few other things and all the food and beer you can consume.

GET HYYYYYYYYYPE! I'm coming home with a third gun this year. I feel it.

Dudes there's a 6.5 Creedmore up for raffle this month. I want that ****ing gun.

6.5 Creedmore is a boss-ass caliber. It flies like a .300 WinMag but doesn't blow out your shoulder. Pretty impressive cartridge. Do want!!

Meanwhile my Serbu is a thing. It's happening. Small aircraft and land vehicles beware!!

Now the hunt for .30-06 ammunition begins.

So we were at the big raffle and everything was getting started and there was this funny moment. The guy on the PA system told everyone to stand for the national anthem and added "kneeling is not advisable in this jurisdiction." It got a pretty good laugh. Crowd was pretty large and it was a fun event. People seemed to have a lot of fun.
