The Personal Triumph Thread

Well, I thought that since we already have two threads to complain about your problems, I thought we should also have a thread to celebrate your victories! Big or small, write about your achievements, fortunate occurrences, and things that you're happy about here.

Yesterday I threw some milk and marmalade into a sauce pan and it turned into orange-flavoured toffee! Sweet!

I've been directed by a National Theatre director who called my acting 'superbly judged'.

I bought a box of chocolate mints, discovered there was a promotion going, entered the code online, and got £2 off Dead Rising 2 : Off The Clock... when the store I was going to buy it from was out of stock. This also led me to find a pretty cheap (new) copy of Deus Ex : Human Revolution, which I bought for my brother because he's been working some terrible work hours lately.

Success? \o/

I found a diamond on my kitchen floor this morning.  Now I have to figure out if it's real.
Probably not a Goat, either.

Likely source : Sleep deprived glass of water gettage, broken glass, forget to sweep up all the pieces.
Although you may have really impressed a ghost who lives in your house, and now he/she's proposing. Be very careful if you accept!

Please, I can tell the difference between a cut diamond and a piece of broken glass.  I can also clumsily drop the diamond and lose it in the carpet...
Probably not a Goat, either.

If he goes to meetings he can be an alcoholic. If he doesn't go to meetings he is a recovering drunk.
