Yeah, it is undoubtedly a great, fun game, but it suffers from the same thing Civ 5 did on release. It just feels really lacking when compared to the previous iteration which has had 4 years of patches and expansions.

It definitely has that "really good mod" feel to it. Still, there's enough new content to put a new spin on things. Keep in mind that Civ5 was in a similar state when it was released, and it was greatly improved just by a couple of patches, even before its expansions. I'll certainly purchase any expansions that'll be released.

That all definitely sounds like a problem with the hard drive or RAM. I would suggest, at the least, backing up any important data you want to keep.

Has anyone had trouble with this game crashing after alt-tabbing out? Is there a fix?

Play in windowed mode?

Been playing Wildstar since the early launch. It is super fun. Housing and crafting are both really awesome. I've spent hours leveling my crafting and messing around on my housing plot. I also got a taste of adventures. It was super fun, although kind of frustrating since our tank was bad. Tomorrow I'm gonna try one of the dungeons.

I was thinking of starting up again. I need something easy and time-consuming to play instead of while watching Twitch streams.

Have you tried getting a job? That could solve both your problems.

There is no play. Only work.

Also, Smite and Hearthstone.

I've had zero problems with Origin. It's just like another Steam running in the background.

I got into the beta a few days ago and I've played an hour or two. It's pretty fun, kind of feels like CoD, but with a better game 'feel' and lots of interesting little features. There's a nice variety of guns even just for a beta, and the titans provide great variety in terms of gameplay.

Of course. There might even be an option for that, I haven't checked. I think something between 12-24 hours would work, though.

Edit: You can set a turn timer in hours, and have a steam notification or e-mail sent when it's your turn.

So there was a new patch released, and with it, this:
Quote
New Mode - Pitboss - Your game can now run in a server mode, which allows players to connect, take their turn, disconnect, and come back later. Email notifications and steam notifications are built into the system. Once the system has received a healthy amount of feedback from the community, we will also include a stand-alone Pitboss server that does not require a steam account to run.

Anyone interested in playing a game like this?
