New Artemis Fowl book out! - The lost colony.
« on: August 07, 2006, 02:12:56 am »
Okay, I was on vacation and I wondered into a bookstore in the local village. To my surprise their was mounted a rack of shiny books on which appeared a hulking red figure. The fifth artemis fowl book involving demons who are the worst kind of faires, they hate all humans but fortunatly are trapped in a realm in which they cannot escape. It also involves Artemis finding a child prodigy equal to himself who discovers the existence of faires. And strangley enough, Eoin Colfer threw some time travel into the mix. I have not read, just read the blurb of the book and did a little skim reading, I'm that cheap.

How is the Opal Deception? I've been thinking of going to get it, but I've been a little lazy lately, is it worth it?

The only Non-Artemis Fowl book I've read is The Wish List. Very cool.

I've read all of his books.

I recommend The Supernaturalists. In my eyes, it's better than good old Arty!  :o

I read it finally, pretty good, loved No.1, but Eoin kinda wore out the vocabulary thing.

I loved The Supernaturalists! Do you think he is making a sequel? The end of the book kind of led me to believe that.

I read The Lost Colony, good book.

Artemis becomes less and less like his old self, and there's a love interest.

Wait a minute, I've read the Supernaturalist too.

How the hell did I forget that?

Yeah, it was a pretty good book.

The Supernaturalist is definently my favorite book of his.  I've also read The Wish List and Half Moon Investigations. Half Moon is his new one, it's actually pretty good. Not his best, but good.

The older ones were better in my opinion (1-3 are considered the old ones), but the new ones are ok.

I used to love that series, but I never got around to reading any after the 3rd one.  I really gotta get aroudn to it eventlally.

I acctually translated that entire message that spaned the whole of the first book.  You know, the one going along the bottom of each page.

My girlfriend did that. The word 'sad' comes to mind. Followed by curiosity.
