The last two episodes of Season 4. I've said it before and I'll keep saying it: This show is pure genius.

It's an FPS, very fast-paced combat with some strategy elements. Aliens are class-based with vastly different forms, in terms of size and mobility. Marines are more weapon-based, with jet packs or heavy armor available. Each team has a commander who views the map from an RTS perspective, can order buildings (which need to be manually built, in the case of marines) and can tell players where to go. It's fun because the combat is skill-based and very smooth, the strategy elements give it a good twist instead of the ****ty deathmatches that most modern FPS's are, and running around in a death squad of wall-running chompy aliens or as a rhino-sized gore machine is fun fun fun.

I like it. It's pretty much exactly like DF except with a sane interface.

Also, be sure to visit as many systems in a sector before you move on. The sectors only get harder and harder so it's better to get as much scrap as possible and only leave just before the fleet would get to the exit node. You should also have some sort of a plan with your weapons, e.g. use missiles to take out their shields and then use your burst laser to take down their weapons. It's pretty much always a good idea to take out their weapons first, especially if they have a bunch of missiles or enough lasers/beams to get through your shields. Also, you pretty much always get better scrap from not accepting surrenders and just blowing them up. Only accept surrender if they offer a ton of something you need at that moment (like fuel or missiles), they offer a nice item as well, or if your ship is heavily damaged and you don't want to take any more damage.

Constantly having to repair your ship can be a huge drain on your resources. If you don't happen to find enough firepower to reliably take down an enemy's weapons before they get a volley or two off (especially of missiles), then invest in a defense drone or more engine power for the dodge. If you have the extra scrap, but you have a ton of weapons already, then getting cloak can be a good investment, too.

Like Krakow said, there's lots of little things that add up over the course of a single playthrough. If your ship keeps exploding, ask yourself where things went wrong. Did your enemies just keep having too many shields? Next time, get more burst lasers/missiles/ion/bombs and not so many beams. Never finding any weapons? Explore on a wider path to find more shops, or maybe you should have taken a different option for that one event you failed. Not enough scrap? Pick more fights instead of skipping them (e.g. helping civilians being killed by pirates and so on).

Also, don't focus on just winning. Just play your best, and have fun, because after you win once or twice the game loses a little bit of magic.

I've beaten game twice on normal, and unlocked the type B configurations for all the ships I have unlocked (of which I had 4). I'm just awesome, yeah.

Haha, I'm on Darkhaven (which has been in WvWvW with Ehmry for a while). Stormbluff Isle are kicking us both, but at least Darkhaven isn't in dead last :P

Servers don't just fight specific other servers for WvW. They rotate on a weekly basis, based on rankings (i.e. servers that win a lot will face other servers which win a lot.

Procedural weapons don't just look differently, but act differently too.

I wish I had the right image macro to express my feelings about that.

I went to your server and slept in a bed that was encased in enchanting tables and now I'm stuck in one of the enchanting tables.

I've messed around with Unity a bit. It seems like its a really powerful and easy to use game creation environment. That is, if you know how to program (which I do!). Really, any kind of game creator that's more than just a level editor needs at least some programming knowledge to make anything decent.

I've been playing almost non-stop since release. It's a great game. Stability issues are to be expected when you have 3.4 million copies sold on launch day.

Also, concerning the security concerns:

Over the past couple of days, players have expressed concerns over the possibility of® account compromises. First and foremost, we want to make it clear that the and Diablo III servers have not been compromised. In addition, the number of Diablo III players who've contacted customer service to report a potential compromise of their personal account has been extremely small. In all of the individual Diablo III-related compromise cases we've investigated, none have occurred after a physical Authenticator or Mobile Authenticator app was attached to the player's account, and we have yet to find any situation where a Diablo III player's account was accessed outside of "traditional" compromise methods (i.e. someone logging using an account's login email and password).

To that end, we've also seen discussions regarding the possibility of account compromises occurring in ways that didn’t involve these "traditional" methods -- for example, by "session spoofing" a player’s identity after he or she joins a public game. Regarding this specific example, we've looked into the issue and found no evidence to indicate compromises are occurring in this fashion, and we've determined the methods being suggested to do so are technically impossible. However, you have our assurance that we’ll continue to investigate reports such as these and keep you informed of important updates.

I webbed a friendly while doing some PVP ops. I blame my UI for being dumb. My allies blew my (cheap-ass) ship up and I got 5mil ISK from someone for being a stupid noob, though.

I'm going to hold back any excitement about the game until I get some details about combat. If it's just another WoW clone I'll completely lose any interest I might have had.
