The New and Improved Dice for Creatures

Ok this is the next version of the Pinstar Dice for creatures game. Basically this is upgrading it to work out some bugs.

NOTE: The is for CREATURE STAGE

Step 1
Get a 6 sided dice

Step 2
Roll it 4 times and add up each of the 4 numbers (thus minimum number is 4 maximum is 24). This number will be the number of times you roll for step 3 and then stop.

Example)
Roll 1 = 3
Roll 2 = 1
Roll 3 = 5
Roll 4 = 2

3 + 1 + 5 + 2 = 11 Rolls you will take for each main category (such as mouth, senses, limbs/feet/hands, etc)

Step 3
You starting creature is a blob. (If you do not roll a mouth make sure you put one on.) Now roll to see what parts you will add.

1) Mouth
Type of Mouth
1-2 Carnivore
3-4 Omnivore
5-6 Herbivore


2) Senses
Type of Senses
1 Eye (See Subsection)
2 Nose (See Subsection)
3 Ear (See Subsection)
4 Tongue (See Subsection)
5 Touch (Such as Whiskers or Feelers)
6 Exotic (See Subsection)

1-3. Visable Light (R.O.Y.G.B.I.V.)

Note this is not complete. Plz add suggestions on how to improve this so it can be made into a creature generator program.

A few you things you can add:

-A tail.
-Maybe add a behavior column (just a thought), herd behavior, lone hunter and etc...
-You can add heat sensing organ (The fact us humans have those on our skin doesn't mean all creatures have to)
-Perhaps add a size generator?

Ok added Size as the 4th Step. Tjhough really it could be done at any point.

Not sure where to put the tail ...

How about we put behavior on part 6. I will post some ideas and tell me what you think of it after.

EDIT: Add behavior, and sub catagories for nose, eyes and ears. Also added touch.  Added telepathy to exotic senses and telekinesis to exotic wepaons

EDIT 2: Fixed up the limbs section.

EDIT 3:  Added Special Catagory under Defense cause i had no idea where else to put it.

Wow, nice addition good job. Can't wait to see this thing becoming a graphical generator one day.

Anyway how about putting the tail as one of the limbs? I guess you can add fins and stuff to it.

Maybe you can add color to the defense column?

I would suggest modifying the "Senses" column.
Touch is something I would think all creatures would have anyway.

Maybe change it to:

1-2  Eye (See Subsection)
3 Nose (See Subsection)
4 Ear (See Subsection)
5 Tongue (Taste / Smell)
6 Exotic (See Subsection)


A question about the Ultrasonic, does being able to hear Ultrasonic mean normal range AND ultrasonic, or only in ultrasonic sounds (the same goes with other senses other than the normal.  If ultraviolet is rolled does that mean the creature can see only in ultraviolet, or normal and ultraviolet).
Also, I do believe anyone who can hear at all can hear Hypersonic sound, as it is just sound that is directed like a beam instead of in all directions like normal sound (Like a flashlight, but for sound).

Another question!
In the Weapons section, can the weapon rolled be a natural weapon (such as claws/spines) instead of an actual weapon (like scythes/clubs)?

OK this is totally the last thing for this post.
Maybe add another (possibly optional) category for level of intelligence.

Though touch can be like wiskers too.

The ultrasonic means they can only make sounds in the ow frequency range and hypersonic means its sounds only in the high fequency range. Normal is in human range. Same with sight. Normal is red, orange, yellow, green, blue, idigo and violet (ROYGBIV) and ultraviolet is only in the ultraviolet range as well as infered is on in the infered range (heat vision). And no not everyone can hear the hyper sonic becuase thats what dog whistles are at. And normal humans cannot hear the sound of a dog whistle. Nor can they hear the very low fequencey of shome elephant and whale sounds.

They are all natural weapons. Not made weapons.

And the civilization part. Well that would be a whole other rolling thing. This was more of a Creature Stage thing.

Crazy how well those go together with a bunch of random numbers.
If only I had gotten the webbed hands, then it would be perfect.
Basically it's some sort of Whale/Shark hybrid that travels in packs of over 100.
I have got to try and draw one of these now.

ok "Roll 7 Behavior:  Mega Colony (100 or More)" Is now chnaged to step 4. So for that one just roll again. and make sure you roll for intellegence and social steps. Also for covering which coverimg did you choose? So should i make a subsection for that?

This turned out much better. For the regenerative part you would pick one part like the tounge that can grow back and then pick another part like the Slashing Weapon that can grow back.

I also see you did not roll any limbs. Which should make for quite an iteresting creature. I suppose it could pull its self around with its tounge or with the wepaons. I also like ...
